- CatalystDM, on 10/11/2007, -1/+79You're right... It's Moledemort!
- ICANSTANDIT, on 10/11/2007, -5/+74It's a Nutria. There have been several sightings around Lake Washington lately. This one has a problem. Normally, they're furry. Check it out for yourself.
- Prokaryote, on 10/11/2007, -12/+64It looks diseased.
- Godlesswanderer, on 10/11/2007, -6/+55My guess is a diseased rat.
- vinyldeejays, on 10/11/2007, -4/+52it actually looks like a mini hippo.
- codered1322, on 10/11/2007, -8/+45It's good to see that Chris Kattan is in front of the camera again.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/11/2007, -5/+36Snipe hunt finally paid off!
- jojo77, on 10/11/2007, -7/+35i bet it tastes like chicken
- Ganpachi, on 10/11/2007, -3/+30...and it's kinda naked, too... a Naked Mole if you will.

I dunno. I've Photoshopped quite a few great fake images. But this appears to be an ACTUAL photo (shot on an iPhone no less).
--- - echolalia, on 10/11/2007, -3/+20ROUS? Except it's unusually small size.
- knomevol, on 10/11/2007, -4/+21desmondregan called it right.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naked_mole_rat - desmondregan, on 10/11/2007, -4/+21its not diseased its a naked mole rat
- shundi, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18It could be a queen naked mole rat that for some odd reason left its hole..
Those things get massive. - vanadium77, on 10/11/2007, -11/+26Bet you it's a squirrel.
- devindotcom, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17Concensus seems to be that it's a hairless rat. Ugly as hell but a good match.
http://www.geocities.com/ratjes_online/hairless.jpg
and here's the full-size cap of the mystery animal from the original blog post.
http://www.arr-the-kraken.com/images/chupacabra.jpg - MurphyWatson, on 10/11/2007, -6/+21The tufts of fur look like they were falling off, I bet its supposed to have fur all over it. Some animals do that during the summer, if i had fur I'd say it would look like a rat.
- kingfoot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14more importantly when is she leaving...
- robertawerner, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16My vote is for a hairless groundhog (diseased).
http://www.fritchman.com/images/lazy-five-ranch/groundhog-a.jpg - tsmithkc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Um: "a burrowing rodent native to parts of East Africa" So what's it doing outside Seattle? Naked Mole Rat does sound like a good band name. Maybe they're on tour.
- dpknc84, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I don't know why you're being dugg down for being right:

- whatsupmtv, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Whats Paris doing in Seattle?
- DiggzDE, on 10/11/2007, -16/+26ManBearPig's offspring obviously. I knew Al Gore was right!
- shawnz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10shun the nonbelieverrrrrrrrrrrrr
- Smight, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Yea it looks like an newborn Nutria. They are rats the size of beavers and not native to the pacific northwest.
- cjl1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9I thought Chupacabra ate goats...
- CrimsonFlash, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8It's one of the members of the Secret Mutant Hero Team!!
http://pbfcomics.com/archive/PBF198-Secret_Mutant_Hero_Team.jpg - swiftekho, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I like that original photo, gives it a bit more of a look at its true size when compared to the common weeds around it etc.
- joshross4, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naked_mole_rat That's what I was thinking.
- Matrix_Prime, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10it looks like a hairless squirrel to me. A few things that give it away, the feet (both front and back), the way it is using those front feet, the way it is standing, and the look of the head.
Here is a normal squirrel for comparison: http://www.soque.org/Photo_Album/Best%20Squirrel%20Shot.JPG
The tail must be brushed over to the left side of the animal....or its an even bigger mutant squirrel that what I first thought, and its missing the tail entirely. - techmaster, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8I'm not sure, I'd have to see its vagina, or a dick in its mouth to make a positive identication...
- Sanitarium, on 10/11/2007, -9/+16Its a magical Leoplurodan!
- kdibble, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11hairless rat. You can tell by the hands and feet. It's a bad angle of a picture
- uptown, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Dupe comment ... someone already guessed Lindsay Lohan....
- solonGFX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7That thing sure does look Half Man, Half Bear, Half Pig..
- whatsupmtv, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6That's not a Snipe.
Snipes have fur and a beak. - Noceous, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6If you got magically transported to Seattle from East Africa (where they live) you'd probably leave your hole too.
- esotericguy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7IT'S RUFUS!
- celerityfm, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8her boob has already shown up on the net - (nws obviously) http://www.darchtimes.com/blog/oct2005/lohannipslip01.jpg
- edoo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6The poster said this was in Washington, not East Africa. You might consider researching (or maybe even just reading) the article that you referenced.
- fastsix, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6There's been an exhibit of Naked Mole Rats at the Pacific Science Center (located right near the Space Needle) for about forever.
Maybe there was a jail break at some point, or maybe someone saw the exhibit and somehow got a couple as pets and then got bored with them.
http://exhibits.pacsci.org/molerats/ - h4mx0r, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8Mutant Rat? The result of terrible government experiments underground? This one made it out of the sewers alive!
