- yellowcakewalk, on 04/29/2008, -3/+7I refused my company's generous 401K program because it was invested with JP Morgan Chase, of PetroChina/DarfurGenocide fame. Sometimes you have to put your money where your mouth is.
- rocketman42, on 04/30/2008, -1/+2Do you also not have a checking account or savings account? Almost any decent sized bank will have some non-green investments. Even a local credit union will probably have some unclean connections. And although I applaud you making a stand, you do realize you are essentially giving money to your company as they now don't have to match your donations? And JP Morgan probably didn't lose a dime as your company is probably charged a bulk rate service fee to manage their 401k program. Would have been better to take the matching funds and when you leave roll it into an IRA where you can then invest in only green companies and possibly donate to good charities when you start pulling money out. As it is, you'll just be poorer in retirement without helping any of the good guys.
- bullcutter, on 04/30/2008, -1/+1why don't you just start signing your paycheck directly over to Al Qaeda and the Wannabe Destructors of America Club then?
- maddvibe, on 04/29/2008, -1/+4I have a traditional 401k that I need to roll over. I'm definitely going to be looking to invest it in companies I can get behind.

- philodygmn, on 04/29/2008, -1/+1Lots of self-promotion in the article, which is fine, but saying capitalism's destruction of the planet is investors' fault is ludicrous, because capital's ascendancy of accounting over tangible value is the problem, no matter what pursuits people sanction with capital or don't with its absence.

"Green Investment Opportunity" = "Feelgood Politically Correct Polished Turd" - GetSmartGal, on 04/30/2008, -0/+1Thanks for sending this over to me great article!
