Jail politicians who ignore climate science: Suzuki
nationalpost.com — David Suzuki has called for political leaders to be thrown in jail for ignoring the science behind climate change. "What I would challenge you to do is to put a lot of effort into trying to see whether there's a legal way of throwing our so-called leaders into jail because what they're doing is a criminal act," said Dr. Suzuki.

- Troika37, on 02/07/2008, -0/+6Irony of Ironies - Suzuki is a former board member of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association. I guess he thinks civil liberties stop when he says they do - in this case, disagreement. Even war protesters are allowed to disagree without fear of prison.

Politics is the art of AVOIDING... empirical evidence, the same thing with which science is supposed to be animated??!?! Just because one has a piece of paper from the University saying, “You are now a Scientist", doesn't PROVE that you are??? Don't you have to drop all preconceptions and adopt disciplined analytical thought as your guide to the actual truth of a thing? You are not a Doctor of Science in any the disciplines, if you’re engaged in the political process. You are either in the Arts or you are in the Sciences, not both; either you are in the lab looking for answers, OR, you are an activist (as appears to be the case here) imposing them; either you hold an office on the board in order to seek the answers, or you seek office by avoiding the answers to the hardest question the public may ask; either you receive donations with which to pursue the truth, or you donate to the politicians to hide it.

It is of course your right to be an activist, your right to seek office, and your right to donate if you choose, just don’t pretend to be a “Scientist” while you’re doing it! That’s what the whole Soviet system utilized to delude generations of pseudo-intellectual idiots in the west. That’s where the term “Political Science” comes from! If you want to hide the fact that your opinion is actually an art form, yet you want the buffoons to believe it anyway, call it “Science” long enough and loud enough and they will start building classes at the university around the notion and teach it until you do!

"Science"... proves something utilizing empirical evidence related to "climate change" and it's cause, let us know... we would be MORE than happy to jail politicians. Of course, we would have to apply this rational across the board and make sure those who ignore militant Islamists at the peril of the world; who ignore the deleterious effect of progressive taxation; who ignore treason in Congress; who ignore vast, bold, and bountiful lies aimed at defrauding a presumably rational and democratic populace; and who ignore the fact the killing of an unborn child is actually the murder of a human being... will also be tried using the same token espoused by Dr. Suzuki.

More that 400 prominent scientist from around the globe have refuted the idiotic idea that man is responsible for global temperature fluctuations. The global temperature has been flat lined for the last 5 year, and the highest temperatures of the last centuries were in the '30's rather than the 90's as was purported. The reason, of course is that the NASA scientist who was responsible for the data, not only made a "mistake" in reporting his data, but is also in the pocket of the environmental entrepreneurs like Algore. He was also big on global cooling in the '70's. Anyone who doesn't verify the data they're being given as propaganda by the so called environmentalist are masochistic fools.
