This documentary is a closer look into the lives of these archaic and shy creatures. We watch with awe, these sensitive and loving specimens, as they mourn their tree ancestors.

In fact, there are caves where the rocks in total blackness sustain organisms where no sunlight ever appears. And volcanic soil is among the most fertile on earth.
I'm no tree hugger, but I don't think that seeing life in stone is repugnant per se. Rather, it takes a little more learning than you seem to care for.
Of course, this is excessive, pedantic, wimpy. A lot of "ecological" policy is b.s. But respecting the fact that the earth sustains life isn't a bad idea.
