Good Fences Could Make Good Osprey Neighbors Out of Colombia

rainforest-alliance.org — In Colombia, tilapia farmers shoot farmers shoot about 2,000 ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) each year, because the raptors prey on their fish stocks. Biologists with the Alexander von Humboldt Institute are working to set up nets over tilipia ponds to help deter, and therefore protect, these amazing birds.
