- Alawn, on 05/06/2008, -1/+6Man made global warming is hyped bs to scare people into allowing unreasonable taxes and laws. We just had one of the coldest winters in a very long time. All of the actual data says man/CO2 has very little if any effect on the weather. Warming is due to sun spots and increase in solar output. The other planets warmed just as much. Ice core records prove that warming preceded any CO2 increase by about 800 years and that it is actually warming that increases CO2 not the other way around. Weather balloons show that the upper atmosphere is not warming more quickly than near the ground like it would be if the warming was from greenhouse gases. On a shorter timescale there is absolutely no correlation between CO2 and temperature. In fact when the CO2 level increased the most temperature went down a whole lot. Just a few decades ago everyone was afraid we were all going to die from a new ice age. Thousands and thousands of very well respected scientists say man made global warming is not true but people just ignore them and all of the evidence form their studies. Al Gore even used graphs that he knew had been proven to be false and due to a computer error and CGI footage of glaciers as propaganda. What a hypocrite, his home uses 14 times the amount of energy as the average American home. The left uses global warming to scare people into submission just like the right uses terrorism to scare the public into accepting any unreasonable law.
