Real things to help humanity:
* Make lots of money, then spend it on cancer research
* Eliminate Marxist politics in the third world
* Develop third world countries -- begin their march out of poverty
* Stop the harmful meme that global climate change is problematic - MarkHayward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What you call "'feel good' politically correct... pablum" I call practical and realistic things that normal people can actually do and make a difference. I don't see my 67 year old Mother-in-law being able to do much about Marxist politics in the third world with her two new hips, but I know she recycles and uses compact fluorescents.
I want to actually make a difference, not just talk about it.
