- freefallgrue, on 01/10/2009, -2/+19Wait, it was cold during an Alaskan winter and hot during an Australian summer?
SURELY YOU JEST, SIR! - Someguy101, on 02/19/2009, -2/+15Overpopulation is a problem that doesn't get nearly enough attention.
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -2/+15Chill the ***** out people. Mankind is resilient to changing habitats. We've the got the intellect biatches. The only problem that should be of any concern to people now is the exponential rate of increasing population growth.
- tennisgrl1713, on 01/09/2009, -1/+12Isn't it funny that those in the freezing cold wish it was a warm, beach day and those baking in the sun cant wait for the cold winter! I am definitely someone who takes the seasons for granted! But this freezing cold NY weather makes me willing to give a limb for those hot sunny days! Great article xdvx!
- digggggggggg, on 01/10/2009, -1/+10Are we forgetting the fact that it's supposed to be summer this time of year in the southern hemisphere?
- jackwk, on 01/10/2009, -0/+8I see someone copied the Boston Big Picture concept
- desken, on 01/09/2009, -1/+8Great photos, especially the observatories on the mountains of Mauna Kea in Hawaii.
Yes, snow in Hawaii! - doublefelix, on 01/10/2009, -1/+8You just know the weather is getting out of hand when you've got a bunch of monkeys consoling each other.
- WanderOn, on 01/10/2009, -1/+8Welcome to Earth.
- Junkey, on 01/10/2009, -1/+8Sounds like a normal day on planet Earth.
- knightblade2oo4, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6most irrelevant ass-kissing ever.
- gmuslera, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5Why they can't use a rational measuring system and put all in celcius? is 2009 after all.
Speaking of 2009, so far it only bring big disasters, worldwide extreme weather, earthquakes, warnings of supervolcanos, war, and windows 7. All points that we wont be there by 2012 - freefallgrue, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4Can't ski when it's 20, can't skydive in tshirt and shorts when it's 20.
- jgzman, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4WTF was that?
- Volatile36, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3I'm assuming you were questioning whether the description meant °C. It meant °F.
- adkenc, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3dugg for pictures that aren't 640x480 or smaller.
it would be nice if they'd have said what the temps are like usually in the respective area. for example, i always figure Alaska is cold. At http://www.alaska.com/about/weather/ it gives several average temps, the coldest they show is -50. so -65 is quite a drop from that. of course if the -65 is in an area that is normally only at 0, well then that's even more drastic.
here in TX, we were in the 80s yesterday and today we are at 59 (which is probably closer to what it should be for winter). crazy weather. - rs2183, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3site reminds me of the boston.com big picture format...
- WhiteHatTrick, on 01/10/2009, -1/+4Don't worry, the UN, planned parenthood, corporate farms, conglomerates, "elected" officials, and ilk are on top of it!
- BushidoReverend, on 01/10/2009, -1/+4Stop breathing my air.
- novenator, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3sometimes even skiing and snowboarding! Rare, but true
- ansatsu29, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Even here in Asia, we are also experiencing cold weather. Here in the Philippines, (especially in our hometown), we are experiencing strong winds and a really cold weather (17 degrees and in some nights, even lower) which is some sort of, rare for a tropical country that normally experience 25 to 32 degrees (celsius).
- ansatsu29, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2There are also reports that snow is also seen on Jordan.
That is also rare. - WhiteHatTrick, on 01/10/2009, -1/+3Back in the good old days the climate didn't change.
- DrSnugglebunny, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2felines and canines, initiate cohabitation.
- WanderOn, on 01/10/2009, -3/+5Gotta love you crazy democrats. You realize the earth has had numerous 'climate changes,' right? I'm not saying we haven't damaged the enviroment, but c'mon, we're about due for something ***** up to happen. People may not survive, but the earth probably will.
- freefallgrue, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2It's far less sensational to not be functionally retarded, apparently.
In other news from the same source, one should avoid contacting an in-use pizza oven with genitals. Who knew? - inactive, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2who would want to ski
winter is for fags - WhiteHatTrick, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Yes, that's basically how they feel about it.
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -2/+4105 degrees? In what, a stove?
- OutlawAdidas, on 01/10/2009, -1/+3Yea... remember that 2012 end of the world thing. It's starting.
- directrix13, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Or welcome to Oklahoma. Yesterday it was 70 something degrees, it is currently 25 degrees outside. This kind of bipolar weather change has been happening once or twice a week since early December.
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Will be Tuesday.
- spectxim, on 01/10/2009, -1/+2Pfft, not much different here.. In Iowa, cold is cold.

Are you mad? - inactive, on 01/10/2009, -1/+2Hey it could have been the GOP having a love fest on drugs supplied by their friends the CIA.
- duggdowncatisad, on 01/10/2009, -2/+3ITT: Republicans insist on talking about Alaska while Democrats insist on talking about Sydney.
- opiniastrous, on 01/11/2009, -0/+1I think he just failed to realise/remember that there are other scales of measurement around.

- andreegal, on 01/11/2009, -1/+2Don't believe that crap, there is enough food for everyone, or at least the earth is capable of producing it. Its the way the system works that leaves thousand without food while thousands are wasted on other places.
- oSallyo, on 01/11/2009, -0/+1So it got to 42 deg C here is Sydney's west, that is not abnormal for summer.
The highest tempreature recorded here is 46 deg C.
It is common to get several + 40 deg C days here in Western Sydney each year.
If it ever snowed here, then that would be news about extreme weather. - angrycat, on 01/10/2009, -1/+2shut the ***** up
- Someguy101, on 02/19/2009, -1/+1Food shortage isn't the only problem caused by overpopulation.
