- CrikeyMike, on 02/27/2009, -0/+20That's just wrong!
- absolutelytrue, on 05/26/2009, -1/+21That's just a little too green for me.
- Semblance, on 02/28/2009, -0/+20The color isn't green.
- tgjerusalem, on 02/27/2009, -2/+21I use and rewash kitchen rags rather than use paper towels. I'll use toilet paper made from rougher, recycled paper. Low flow toilets are great. But they're never going to get large numbers of people to wash and re-use toilet rags. I'll use leaves I gathered outside first.
- the2989, on 02/28/2009, -0/+17I use my ShamWow®. It is large, absorbs lots of debris better than toilet paper, and is easily cleaned after use.
- digjam, on 02/27/2009, -2/+18Re-use my ass..!
- inactive, on 02/27/2009, -0/+16Next week some green blog will come out with the headline: "Just use your hands!"
I'm all for going green, but no. Just no. - pitdog, on 02/28/2009, -1/+16extreme green - kill yourself
- TimeSpaceMotion, on 02/28/2009, -1/+13Me being Japanese, I was praying that this wasn't an article about Japan...*relief*
- mmittimm, on 02/28/2009, -1/+12No... that doesn't rank anywhere near that. This is a ridiculous concept with better alternatives. That's a very practical and necessary device that will save a lot of fuel.
- calcio0fan, on 02/28/2009, -0/+11Do you crap once every half hour?
- inactive, on 02/28/2009, -0/+10The only thing that should be reusable in terms of a toilet is the toilet itself.
- gurudrew, on 02/28/2009, -0/+10While I agree that their estimate is off, your two rolls per day for 1 person is a bit much.
- devonkeale, on 02/27/2009, -2/+12Bidets are much better. Seriously. But I guess it's a waste of water, so... bollocks.
- gutterals, on 02/28/2009, -1/+10Sometimes it is...
- offrdbandit, on 02/28/2009, -1/+9I hate the environment so much I get a new ass each time... screw reusing it.
- jasdf, on 02/28/2009, -3/+11Or the American device that went up on the last Shuttle.
- PopcornDave, on 02/28/2009, -0/+7Nah, then you'd find the used ones in vending machines as long as they were used by schoolgirls.
/s - JCEEZ, on 02/28/2009, -0/+7I use my room mates pillowcase.
- Optiks, on 02/28/2009, -1/+8Nasty. I'm beginning to tire of the green movement. What's the next logical step from here? Reusable corn? Peanuts?
- TejInLA, on 02/28/2009, -0/+7So instead of using more toilet paper they want you to use more water to wash them? Unless you buy a lot and store up enough for a full load, or you don't wash them separately as directed... Well, I'm not sure which would be more wasteful, but I would feel more wasteful about the water than the toilet paper.
- OneySeal, on 02/28/2009, -2/+9The only thing left that they haven't made wipes for is wipes. Wipes to clean your wipes. Huge money making opportunity, people!
- calcio0fan, on 02/28/2009, -0/+7No.
- AtraNoxVII, on 02/28/2009, -3/+10Just when I think you can't possibly think of anything new to make Green more insane sounding, you amaze me yet again.
- vat0r, on 02/28/2009, -0/+6From the web site:
"Wallypop is a proud partner of Goods for Girls - providing reusable pads to girls in Africa."
These guys are just strange. - inactive, on 02/28/2009, -1/+7You would think no one has heard of a Bidet. Even a small hand washer spray shower is 1000 times cleaner..
- fredtheman, on 02/28/2009, -1/+7... so they sell you an expensive wash cloth you wipe your nasty bits with. Wow, what an idea.... not
Where are the sea shells from Demolition Man when we need them - inactive, on 02/28/2009, -0/+5Wash your hands with soap after. lol
- THETEH, on 02/28/2009, -0/+5Sort of like a handkerchief, except a little weirder.
- flangepiece, on 02/28/2009, -0/+5I'll tell you what though, the only anal massage I'll ever agree to is from a Japanese toilet with happy pulsating warmed jets of hygienic excellence water function.
- shaunlow, on 02/28/2009, -1/+6I'm all for recycling and saving the earth and all that stuff... but some things just aren't meant to be recycled
- TechMike, on 02/28/2009, -0/+5Why do think disposables became so popular so fast? After I touch it once, I don't want to touch it ever again!
- lepetitmousse, on 02/28/2009, -0/+5my ass is one place im willing to sacrifice the environment for. sorry earth.
- perryc, on 02/27/2009, -1/+6...for a better sleep at night...
- flangepiece, on 02/28/2009, -1/+5Trouble is, most ass-replacements are organic so they bio-degrade too easily. Best bet is to buy plastic asses made from long-chain polymers. The really cheap ones also choke dolphins, which is an added bonus.
- Ragzouken, on 02/28/2009, -0/+4I'm using 20 sheets a week, I'm already throwing my money away!
- mogebier, on 02/28/2009, -3/+7Um... Okay. The only response I have for tree-hugging goobers like this guy is this:
*****...
You...
Sorry, but having to wash out my own ***** from reusable wipes is just nasty. And the last time I checked, there are MORE trees in North American than when we took it from the Indians. So it's not like the companies are mowing over forests and not replanting them to harvest them again in the future. If they did that, how would they stay in business?
So go talk to Sheryl Crowe and her retarded "use 1 square" ideas and shove them up your ass with one of your reusable wipes. - MysticKatDaddy, on 02/28/2009, -0/+4First use the SlapChop. You'll love my nuts!
- badfish0116, on 02/28/2009, -0/+4Use Assrags from now on or the Earth is doomed!!!!!!
- inactive, on 02/28/2009, -0/+4Just learn how to use the three shells.
- rockerrob, on 02/28/2009, -1/+5so if I wash it with my whites everything will turn brown.
- artwhite, on 02/28/2009, -1/+5extreme green - lick it.
- Brentnauer, on 02/28/2009, -0/+4Plus, you're helping to fight Scientology!
- ketedford, on 02/28/2009, -1/+5And, for the true green FREAKS you can pick off the corn, wash it and eat it again.
- zekolas, on 02/28/2009, -0/+3Is this really "Green"? Most paper comes from tree farms, we are not clear cutting forests for paper. Trees are just like any other agriculture product. The more we use paper = more tree farms = more trees.
Also there will be a footprint by washing the cloth in hot water and drying. Also if you are using heavy detergents and chlorine it might not be good for the ecosystem where the water is discharged into. I really do not think this is very green at all. It might be some people feel better about them selfs but probably not green. - stix213, on 02/28/2009, -0/+3Dugg for the utter insanity. Please people see how insane some of these greenies are. This isn't about science to these people, it is their religion.
Sorry but don't these people realize there is a reason you flush away your used toilet paper? - fluxion, on 02/28/2009, -0/+3i just place it on my lap, and it soaks the feces right up from inside my buttcheeks
- wisam, on 02/28/2009, -1/+4@ ImADharmaBum: "huge sections"? "most Arabs use their hands"?
That's ignorant of you. Would you care to mention those huge sections?
You know, most Arabs live in cities with electricity and running water.
We're not camel-riding towel heads as your absurd stereotypes depict us! - GeekNurse, on 02/28/2009, -0/+3I'm all for trying to save the environment but, in this case, hygiene is huge concern. Leaving paper with fecal matter lying around to be laundered at a later time is a fantastic way to spread ecoli, cdiff and various other illness causing organisms. Saving the money isn't worth the risk.
