- TheRhinoceros, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1There is no way in hell Digging up the Alaskan wilderness and destroying all that land for oil and the meager reduction in price 19 years from now is worth it in any way shape or form. If it was that good, if it was really had the capacity to have any real impact, wouldn't they have used it already?
Drilling In A.N.W.R. would be a mistake. We can do better than this. I've been to Canada where they use Wind power to generate electricity seen the giant windmills operating in Nova Scotia. I don't see that being done here, at least not in any measurable way. There are other resources. There are better ways to produce energy for a nation this large.
Don't let these bastards do it!
