- hammerattack, on 11/02/2007, -6/+23DIGGERS! ACT NOW! You too can be an ill informed tool of special interests! Just abandon any semblance of rational thought, join the mob, and do what a headline on digg demands of you.
- mrwiggl3s2, on 11/01/2007, -16/+25dont really care
- spyd3rweb, on 11/01/2007, -17/+24Keep us protected from what... Global Warming??? HAAAAHHH!!! They can't even prove humans are causing it.
- jhandfield, on 10/31/2007, -2/+9Buried for needlessly vague summary ("a state?" why not just say California?), sensationalism (are these changes really revolutionary? I doubt it), immediately jumping to conspiracy theories (zomg hidden agendas!) and a call for violent action (kicking their asses.)
- EmperorAnton, on 11/01/2007, -3/+10This sounds like it should be really interesting. Wonder if anything positive will come of it.
- slashbot, on 11/01/2007, -2/+9Unless it involves clicking a button, i doubt many will do it
- pbaehr, on 10/31/2007, -4/+10The title is redundant. Diggers rarely take action in a form that would require them to get up from their chair.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -4/+10so what has digg done other than transform from a tech website to a place for me to troll you whiny ***** LibPussies?
- inactive, on 11/01/2007, -1/+6Your mother has a hidden agenda involving revolutionary regulations.
- cloudyprison, on 10/31/2007, -2/+7And 40% of all statistics has a 1 in 58% chance of working. It's been scientifically proven that 3 out of 5 times it works every time.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -3/+8Yeah, keep us posted, please. :)
- DLHOUOKUSA, on 10/31/2007, -4/+9You truly don't think that activities of several billion humans affect the earth's climate? You should take some time to kick back and really try some creative thinking of your own and not parrot FOX news.
- dboy3587, on 10/31/2007, -1/+6why do ppl think diggers can always demand answers and solve world hunger
- FatShady, on 11/01/2007, -1/+5Do you idiots actually think that some government worker is going to say to themselves "Oh, a bunch of kids on a website don't like what we're doing! We better shape up" ?
Get over your overinflated sense of self importance.
Nobody gives a ***** what digg users think. - relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -5/+9Shoo, go play your xbox.
- nixonrichard, on 11/01/2007, -3/+7Hopefully we'll get an assload of new government regulations! I love the government telling everyone how to live their lives! Establishment! Establishment! You always know what's best.
- Betrayer, on 10/31/2007, -1/+4Yeah maybe they have valid answers... like cost per person living in California to have every car retro fitted for emissions; or the hastle and delays involved moving cargo across the state in "certified trucks". and if you want to do this.. do it yourself without regulation... fix your car and help your neighbor make his car green too... why should the rest of the country pay for California's pollution?
- ibookfast, on 11/01/2007, -0/+3I feels ya, at least when government tries to regulate my private behavior, but they damn well better regulate Corporations. In fact smaller businesses appreciate regulations, as they tend to level the playing field.

- bpapa, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3Any stories that prompt me to Digg = berried!
- CheeseburgerBro, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3I hugged a tree and it hurt my face.
- plizard, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3take on action!!!! hit the digg button!!!!!!!!111

- dboy3587, on 10/31/2007, -1/+3great pretty soon we are going to seen chain letters too.
- DLHOUOKUSA, on 11/01/2007, -0/+2This is weak. There has always been climate change due to the sun fluctuating however, the sun's fluctuations do not magically put man made chemicals into the air that aid in causing a greenhouse effect. Read up on the planet Venus if you want to know how far out of hand a greenhouse effect can get.
- norman619, on 10/31/2007, -1/+3Not really. Not if doing so is NOT in the best interest of our country. They know a wee bit more about what's going on and the reasons behind the actions they are taken than you or I. Not saying they are right or wrong. Just saying try to keep in mind we do not have all the facts nor all the answers.
- Xopl, on 10/31/2007, -0/+2If you want to make a difference, place a telephone call or write a physical letter and mail it. Digging, blogging, even emailing... the government doesn't care.
Why is Bush still president? Why are we still at war in Iraq? Look in the mirror. When is the last time you called your Representative or Senator? There's your answer. - Dweller99, on 10/31/2007, -0/+2Did you read his link or choose to ignore it? You cited an example of why you feel Global Warming is happening elsewhere and he posted a link refuting it.
As for NASA being infallible, do a search for George C. Deutsch. - trogdoor, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1"And if you want to do this.. do it yourself without regulation... fix your car and help your neighbor make his car green too... why should the rest of the country pay for California's pollution?"
Because I and my friends alone cannot meaningfully affect on net emissions, and in choosing to pay more for a more fuel efficient car while others are not required too we are putting ourselves at an economic disadvantage.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragedy_of_the_common ... - inactive, on 11/01/2007, -0/+1No, I as many people are urging the EPA to stay out of this trap.
Furthermore states such as California that have illegally gone ahead in attempting to regulate CO2 are in violation of the equal protection clause in the US constitution and will be open to civil suit. In the case of California the only tangible effect is to stuff many millions of dollars into lawyers pockets and you can be sure this trend will continue unabated..... - Dakart, on 11/18/2007, -0/+1Actually, I made a bit of a calculation error... Texas would actually be: 167,040 acres. So, you're actually off by: 1 505 532 695
- brownanimal, on 11/01/2007, -1/+2yah keep digging and see if you liberal losers can actually accomplish something!!!
- Betrayer, on 10/31/2007, -1/+2simple solution... kill some of them.. more jobs, less polution.. its a win win..
- datastorageguy, on 11/01/2007, -0/+1Isn't online action an oxymoron?
- playuhh, on 10/31/2007, -1/+2I was elected to LEAD... not to READ.
- PRlME, on 10/31/2007, -2/+3i don't remember demanding anything.
- spyd3rweb, on 11/01/2007, -0/+1you should take the time to study the emissions of a volcano, then multiply that by however many active volcanos there are on earth.
- Dakart, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1California cars are some of the cleanest (environmentally) and fall under some of the toughest emission regulations in the world already... People are just worried about pollution out here because there are so many of us.
- MellerTime, on 11/01/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I agree. What are the chances any US government agency will accomplish anything that actually benefits people?
- MarkOfTheDead, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1Whats the point of being in before anything if you aren't offering anything on topic?
Go back to Youtube where you belong. - nblsavage, on 10/31/2007, -11/+12there is ample proof...simpletons like you just don't want to see it.
- Dakart, on 11/15/2007, -0/+1Actually, assuming that the US population is 301,139,947 (July 2007 est.) and texas is 261,797 square miles... Texas would be 167,550,080 acres and 5x the US population would be 1,505,699,735. That means that you're off by about 1,338,149,655 acres. Plus, if we diluted, we would have to travel farther for work and socialization...
Remember kids... don't skip math class. - norman619, on 11/01/2007, -1/+2They do. They spread ignorance and fear.
- noahfingway, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1The article didn't really say what we should be protesting about...it was more like a "Stick it to the man" kind of rant....Yes yes roadblocks to tougher emissions standards, ok. Why aren't the first ones they passed tough enough?
You know, since I was born the regulations have been getting tougher and tougher yet you'd think by all the hysteria things are getting "worser and worser". Doesn't that mean stiffer regulations aren't working? Maybe regulations are the answer to the wrong problem. - gibbwake, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1How about you demand digg stop censoring stories and video links like this? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1070329053 ...
- theciuffo, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1Diggers! Send me $1! It's a minimal cost to you, but think of the benefits to me if everyone participates!
....worth a shot - Xabora, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1EPA OFFICIAL: Sir, I think you've gone mad with power.
CARGILL: Of course I have. You ever tried going mad without power? It's boring, no-one listens to you. - allan17, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1I think I might, you go wage your war against the EPA and let me know how that works out for you ;)
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -0/+0They want us to embrace nuclear power instead of green energy.
