- neuralzen, on 11/13/2007, -17/+63At what point does the quality of life of everyone on the planet out weigh what Bush and Co. want? And how bad does it have to get before a boiling point is elected by society?
- pintomp3, on 11/11/2007, -5/+23guess what? the tobacco industry also had a group of doctors and researches who swore that there is no link between cigarettes and cancer. but the overwhelming scientific and research community disagreed.
- thatbuncha, on 11/11/2007, -5/+20this whole administration is full of ***** degenerates.
- zippy747, on 11/11/2007, -1/+14So executive privilege can be used for pretty much anything these days it appears.
- riverrunner, on 11/11/2007, -7/+17Obviously there are many people who otherwise seem intelligent that buy into the 'debate' and are fooled by this kind of thing. I liken them to the people who deny evolution of species despite heaps of evidence. Admitting we have a huge problem is the first step to solving it. By denying the problem or saying 'we should study that further' while continuing to dump tons of CO2 in the atmosphere is completely irresponsible. Please wake up.
- vonfook, on 11/11/2007, -5/+15Well since President Bush says so, clearly we have no reason to fear global warming. Move along people, nothing to see here.
- ironhide, on 11/11/2007, -3/+13So the Center for Disease Control is now a liberal organization?
- inactive, on 11/11/2007, -4/+13People don't vote unless they have something to vote against, I think Bush might just bring a record turnout for the next election..
- ironhide, on 11/11/2007, -1/+10You idiots keep trotting that crap out and we keep shooting it down..so here is is one more time:

- crapmatic, on 11/11/2007, -2/+10Judging by the comments it looks like Rush has dispatched his minions to try to make short work of Digg.
- ironhide, on 11/10/2007, -5/+13showing a list of names with no context is worthless.
- seibed, on 11/11/2007, -1/+8What amazes me is that everyone here is so concerned about the merits of global warming... What about the merits of censorship, the gov't deciding what you can and can't see? I can understand if people lives are in danger (spies, military etc) but why in hell is there "executive privilege" anywhere near a report like this? Thanks but my Tax dollars paid for this research, i don't want it screened by some no-nothing gov't bureaucrat that thinks it might have some economic impact that might prove the neo-con point of view wrong.
- nblsavage, on 11/11/2007, -3/+10oh god, here come the shrill deniers.
- nblsavage, on 11/13/2007, -2/+9Common sense meaning of course, someone who agrees with you.
- eryximachus, on 11/11/2007, -0/+6What is being hidden from the people is the fact the phenomenon exists outside of our planet and that is going to get much worse. Politicians are pushing major change in the realm of pollution because it is not the cause.
We are approaching an age where hundreds of millions of humans will die. The elite would like to keep this a secret until the deaths start happening. - jaxcs, on 11/11/2007, -0/+6it's funny in an article where people are decrying the government's purposeful denial of data that you accuse others of not getting the facts. As to the long list of scientists, I don't have the time but you seem to, why don't you tell us how many of them are climatologists? Kindly split them into groups. People who have worked in climatology departments, people who have only worked in think tanks, people who have never worked in climatology. A second list would also be helpful. List those who have published an article on climatology and those who have not.
- Crusader1145, on 11/11/2007, -5/+11Big cover up on global warming? Really? You can't open a newspaper, turn on the TV or read a mainstream news magazine without someone screaming about the effects of climate change and the imminent demise of the planet. Al Gore got an Oscar and Nobel for taking about global warming. Even GW is in the global warming camp now (doesn't mean everyone in his administration is). We get beaten over the head with global warming developments every day. If there's a cover up going on its the worst cover up in the history of cover ups.
Now, if you want to assert theres a cover up on contradictory data... - bowens44, on 11/11/2007, -6/+12Pure speculation? You're kidding right? It's certainly much more then speculation.
- mos6507, on 11/10/2007, -0/+5Talk about splitting hairs.
- ironhide, on 11/10/2007, -2/+7That's an old, tired tune.

By the way, see how all those last names begin with the letter 'A'?
Want me to go all the way to 'Z,' or do you get the point? - hydrodev, on 11/09/2007, -1/+6well they wont be voting against bush, if thats what you meant.
- penguinxp, on 11/10/2007, -0/+5you know what i havent had in a long time?
fruit striped gum. - spz104, on 11/11/2007, -2/+7The Bush administration is not stopping anyone from changing their lifestyle to reduce global warming. Do you drive to work? Use the air conditioner/heater in your home, watch TV, leave your computer on 24/7, buy fossil fuels? It's easier to blame others than live a minimalist, sustainable lifestyle.
- nblsavage, on 11/10/2007, -1/+6Don't you know? The Masons, The Skull & Bones, The Illuminati and The Stonecutters are going to use the global warming scam to institute a carbon tax, also they will use the threat of global warming to bring about the NWO!!!
- vikingcoder, on 11/13/2007, -2/+7Ironically, it's the sun's close correlation with Earth's temperature that proves it has little to do with the last 30 years of global warming.
Direct satellite measurements find no rising trend since 1978 - the start of measurements. Sunspot numbers have leveled out since 1950. The Max Planck Institute reconstruction shows that irradiance has been steady since 1950 and solar radio flux or flare activity shows no rising trend over the past 30 years.

A) Jan 09, or when people turn off their TVs and do something.
Q) 'And how bad does it have to get before a boiling point is elected by society?'
A) Two parter; First, we can elect boiling points? Second, and more seriously, it gets closer every day.
People, watch the debates, read between the lines, actually find out about who we're electing to office, don't just vote party lines, because both parties have been bought and paid for by the same people. Party is now irrelevant. If we can cut out the corrupt people early in the elections, then they can't get into office to begin with, and then we can be fairly represented. - MacEnvy, on 11/10/2007, -0/+4I'm glad we're Celsius. It's about time we got on the metric bandwagon.
- geekanarchy, on 11/11/2007, -1/+5Boiling point candidates for the next election: Democrat 100 C goes up against Republican 212 F. They both promise not to burn you, but it's only after the votes are counted and you've been scalded again that you'll realize they were the same thing all along.
- abuelos84, on 11/11/2007, -1/+5pwned
- sutherbj, on 11/13/2007, -1/+5Stating that you need a physics degree in order to understand climate change really shows how much you really know about the issues.
- mos6507, on 11/10/2007, -0/+4Who cares how tired you are??
- thebellmaster1x, on 11/10/2007, -0/+4Haven't you heard? ANY non-partisan, scientific organization that disagrees with Bush (who apparently has a Ph.D. in every ***** science--how else can he give out scientific opinions on things, right?) is communist.
- talkingpidgin, on 11/10/2007, -5/+8who would profit from scamming people into believing in global warming? I guess the argument is 'that's just how liberals do' ?
- jaxcs, on 11/10/2007, -0/+3I can't see how in an article about Bush invoking executive priv on on anything that doesn't suit his world view is actually a liberal low. It is of some sad comfort to me that any liberal lows are preceded by republitards
- amenic, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3The reason why this information is being 'hidden' is because the Neocons haven't decided on exactly what they want to go on public record with (which will more than likely be a lie) to help further their agenda. Yes .. the agenda that we, the people are not supposed to know about...
Climate change and the war and terror are supposedly the core campaigns for which those in control intend to use to push all of us cattle in the direction they want us to go in...
Now say it will me (all together now): "Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo". =) - heymike, on 11/10/2007, -0/+3http://www.tshirthell.com/store/product.php?produc ...

Yes, I was a physics major. Water vapor is a feedback agent because of it's short (on the order of 2 weeks - 3 months) atmospheric lifetime and the fact that it literally rains out of the atmosphere when the concentration gets high enough. CO2 has an atmospheric lifetime on the order of decades and there is no "quick removal" process. - swazo, on 11/10/2007, -2/+5the sky is blue and grass is green!
what else is new. - KidDynamo0, on 11/11/2007, -2/+5An apologist for Bush no matter the topic...how predictable.
- nblsavage, on 11/11/2007, -2/+5Right, I'm the paranoid one. You're the cretins that believe that global warming is a conspiracy created by a group of scientists and Al Gore.

Ironically, it's the sun's close correlation with Earth's temperature that proves it has little to do with the last 30 years of global warming. - i4ybrid, on 11/10/2007, -0/+3i didn't know you could hide regularly higher and lower temperature than RECORD temperatures. Things like tsunamis, hurricanes and overall odd weather should be more than enough of a hint. They can't hide that data..unless they've hacked the mercury in your thermometer (OMG!)
- ironhide, on 11/10/2007, -0/+3Yeah, because when I want informed opinion about science, I turn to the guy who wrote "Jurrasic Park".
By the way, most scientists publish in peer-reviewed publications. - 89992, on 11/10/2007, -2/+5So we don't need to worry about pouring tons of extra CO2 into the atmosphere?
- Rahodeb, on 11/10/2007, -2/+5I'm pretty sure there are a couple of scientists studying this. If you choose to believe that it's all psychic hotline mumbo jumbo, then you might want to take it up with them.
- jeffg1, on 11/11/2007, -1/+4The more Bush tries to hide this stuff, the greater the backlash will be and the less forgiving we all will be. The Bush family, the House of Saud, and many other "Oil Men" will be blamed for the catastrophes to come.
- trogdoor, on 11/09/2007, -2/+5So that they can vote against Bush? He's stretched his power pretty far but I don't think he is going to try to run for a third term ;)
