telegraph.co.uk — The battle of climate change needs to be fought like "World War 3", the head of the Environment Agency warned at a conference in London. Chief executive Lady Young said current measures to adapt to a changing climate were "too little, too slowly", and a huge effort was needed to address the crisis, even if she herself had no new recommendations.

*****. There's nothing about this figure or that the damage was caused by rising sea levels on their website. On the contrary, their website states in a section titled 2007 Summer Floods:
"Flooding was caused by drains, river channels and flood defences being overwhelmed by the extreme flows of water. This often happened very quickly and in these circumstances it is difficult to predict where flooding will occur."
without any reference to global warming whatsoever, because FLOODS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME as they have been for billions of years. and guess what? the more people that build homes in and move closer to flood-prone areas, the higher dollar amount in damage is going to occur.. NOT because global warming will kill us all.
