http://ronsworld1.homestead.com/files/jett.mpg - Azimuth1, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28Looks like the hill from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
- JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -2/+28I think the cloud just loves planes.
- epilonious, on 10/11/2007, -4/+27I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!!
Sorry, seemed appropriate :) - Shuk, on 10/11/2007, -1/+24Looks like one of those chef mustaches.
- chesbomb, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16wow, not what i was expecting. quite spectacular.
- fantasticFlan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12Photoshoppers have become so good that reality now looks photoshopped.
- homerj1965, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14Everybody knows that's the Flying Spaghetti monster!!!
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11The photo was posted on Airliners.net yesterday.
- gernblansted, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10This is a very good demonstration how serious "Jet Wash" (aka Wake Turbulence) can be, and why you don't want to fly though it. It also shows how much energy a plane loses because of drag.
- logicalnoise, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9it's obviously the pick of destiny.
- wattznext, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Doesnt this http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1229391/M/ remind anyone of this http://www.painatal.com/imagens/painatal_com_14112006mustache_championship_2.jpg
- sirgolf82, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7FTA: London - Gatwick (LGW / EGKK)
- Manuelmty, on 10/11/2007, -6/+11Those are obviously the shapes of the snakes jumping from that plane
- spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Please explain why you think this.
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Damnit...server just took a crap. Here's a mirror just in case it is down for awhile:

Larger version: http://i10.tinypic.com/4magewp.jpg - Error601, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I saw one like that live. Low ceiling and we were sitting on the taxiway next for takeoff. Saw a 747 plunge through the clouds and land right in front of use leaving those swirls behind it. It was actually kind of scary seeing something that big come out of nowhere and pass right front of you.
- spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5It reminds me more of Snidely Whiplash. Nya-ha-ha!
- noahhoward, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Possible that it is landing and not taking off.
- kirakun, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Why are the landing gears still up when the plane is already above the cloud level?
- spargett, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3600mm + 1.4X Teleconverter.
Its possible, especially if it was on final approach. And cumulus clouds are a rather low cloud, you won't find anything higher than 2,000m. - joeydoo, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5He thinks that because he is stupid. There is no other explanation.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5USA! USA! USA!
- wattznext, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3sorry, double post, digg it on down
- EagleRock, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4I think you both need to stop watching cartoons... :-)
- Mar1in, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4An interesting thing you can notice in this picture is the vortex is faintly visible trailing the starboard wingtip. The air spins so fast it changes the index of refraction of the air (i assume, anyway) causing a lens effect. I've seen this effect on videos as well.
Also if you are near a landing jet, you can definitely hear the vortex as it passes by. It sounds like water in a way like someone filling a tall plastic glass with a smooth stream of water.
M - ishwarchand, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3So who took the pic. I mean going by the cloud cover, it definitely wasent taken from the ground,
- spargett, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2OMG! Its his noodly holiness!
http://chamorrobible.org/gpw/gpw-20060808.htm - toucci, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I agree; swirly clouds -- that's at least 20 horses at the wheels right there.
- VAPerson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Noahhoward: That isn't the vortices making the smoke from the flares swirl? Sure, there aren't clouds but you can definitely see the vortices.
- Salanmon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I don't think the Plane hit the cloud, it probably moved away in fear
- gunner1138, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Wow, I wonder how someone got to take that picture.
- BobaFettTDG, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2That Hansel's so hot right now.
- TrojanGuy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The cloud is just telling the plane that it loves it and would like for it to visit again someday.
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5Correction: By 'posted', I meant that it made the 'Last 3000 Top of last 24h' section yesterday. The photo was added on June 29th, 2007 and was shot by one of my favorite photographers, Steve Morris, on June 16th, 2007. Please tell me where you found this photo posted on Digg already in the meantime because I sure didn't see it anywhere. Otherwise, STFU already.
- twinklyJesus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That happened to me in the shower this morning...damned burritos!
- Fengpost, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This is one of my favorite!

- AlwaysDiggsDown, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Pretty, but scary. I don't think anyone can deny that these are chemtrails- and NOT contrails.
- mixmastabob, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1http://www.threadless.com/product/482/Clouds_Are_People_Too
Almost as good as having that picture on a shirt. - jasdf, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yes, it is landing.
- wallryan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1hasn't this been on digg a few times before?
- rjp_wayne2018, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Great example of wake turbulence if I've ever seen it
- y2kbg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1someone noted above that it appears to be on its final approach due to the type of cloud and corresponding elevation.
- andyyoung1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1ever heard of photoshop?
- retral, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1No contrails either..
- krigney, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Really? Could he have left smudge marks?
- kidvicious1973, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Is that a cloud? Doesn't landing gear come down right before touch down?
- rhowell, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Dugg for not using the terms 'amazing' or 'ever' in the title.
