- paulhendrixson, on 11/21/2008, -2/+6440 some years later and girls are still screaming at them
- Andy5925, on 11/21/2008, -2/+37The Beetles are back!
- voldron, on 11/21/2008, -1/+21Dugg for title
- ElGubrush, on 11/21/2008, -0/+17Scientists discovered today that the Beatles' harmonic resonance is the exact frequency that shatters cement. Their latest tour continues to leave a swath of destruction across the British Isles.
- stronglikedan, on 11/21/2008, -1/+15Uh oh, we may need a beetle bailout.
- SFJoe, on 11/21/2008, -0/+13Neither are John and George for that matter.
- mrlivingston, on 11/21/2008, -1/+12I Wanna Scold Your Land
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -0/+10Let me guess, they have no natural predators here.
- idiosyncrisia, on 11/21/2008, -0/+10Seriously though... these things suck. They fly all around and into your house. I kill them whenever I see them.
- Pronoiac, on 11/21/2008, -0/+8Can we just stop importing things from China? Please?
- Xiefer, on 11/21/2008, -1/+8Dugg for "Beetles Tour New England." I actually was in shock.
- klaarn, on 11/21/2008, -2/+8remember, ringo's not signing autographs anymore. so stop asking.
- tsunamisteve, on 11/21/2008, -1/+7Ladies and gentleman, the Beetles!
- jbmcb, on 11/21/2008, -0/+6Dugg for awesome, Fark-style headline alone. Good article, too.
- muller, on 11/21/2008, -0/+6Similar situation in the West.... out here in Colorado the pine beetles are absolutely demolishing the forests. I went camping, and every tree I could see for miles was dead or dying. In a couple years, there will be no forest left in many of those areas... all that will be there is kindling waiting to set off a huge wildfire. It's hard to describe how sad it is without standing in it for yourself.
- Jsmuli2, on 11/21/2008, -1/+6Where can I get tickets?!
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -0/+5I read "Beatles" twice before my mind realized that something else called "beetles" exist.
- D1Foley, on 11/21/2008, -0/+4I'm from Worcester, but my side of town isn't in the quarantine zone, sucks though they have to cut down a ton of trees, the other side of town is going to be bare.
- ironhide, on 11/21/2008, -0/+4It's a joke - laugh.
- dsmx, on 11/21/2008, -1/+5and still bigger than jesus.
- sconvery, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3That's correct. The only way to eradicate them is to chop down and burn the trees. Here is a video on them. http://www.ifplantscouldtalk.rutgers.edu/video/vid ...
- rainwolf1031, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3LEAFEEEERS!!!!
- MRintheKeys, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3The Predators aren't here yet but once they detect enough aggression and violence in the area they will show up.
- TrevorBelmont, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Is the impact of these lil' bastards really best quantified in dollars?
- clickmyface, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2GET OUT OF THE QUARANTINE ZONE. GO FROM SAFE HOUSE TO SAFE HOUSE UNTIL YOU REACH THE HOSPITAL, THEN GO TO THE ROOF WHERE A RADIO IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO CALL FOR A HELICOPTER. LOUIS MIGHT DIE. USE MOUNTED MACHINE GUN BUT BEWARE.
- Eslamicolt3, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Only Yoko can stop them.
- Frozo, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Agricultural terrorism. Expect to be seeing a lot of that in the future. Thanks China!
- FredFredrickson, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2I don't really see the problem...
- airencracken, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2I was hoping for Harrison and Lennon zombies. That would have been a much cooler article.
- Eslamicolt3, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Nope, just Yoko Ono
- feshmania, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2It's Beetlemania!
- MinervaDreaming, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Well, better than having the Monkeys do it.
- Rudegar, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2rolling stones?
- weirddave, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Just one more instance where spelling is important. Beatles vs. Beetles. I bet you didn't even know they were spelled differently.
- clickmyface, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1yes but are YOU signing any autographs?
i want to win u on ebay so bad. - clickmyface, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Do you like Mongolian grill?
- clickmyface, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Wow looks like another lawsuit Apple Records is going to lose.
- clickmyface, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1I don't know, Monkeys in America might be cool. We could eat the monkey brains like in Indiana Jones. they are a delicacy, you know. i learned that from Dr. Jones, Dr. Jones.
Hmm, when is Dr. Pepper giving out free soda pop? - ch4os1337, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1I hate playing as louis... I keep getting team killed by racists on XBL.
- theghoul, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1"Helter Skelter"
- snookky, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1beetle mania!
- hoofhockey, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1i know it's been said... but i just am digging this for the phrasing of the title... well done
- asgardshill, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Real maple syrup is already priced out of the stratosphere for me anyway. Its hard to imagine being asked to pay an extra $5 or $6 for a little bitty bottle when the stuff's pushing $10 as it is.
A pity as I love the stuff, but I don't eat platinum either.
(Mother Nature as always knows best - the beetles will have to be burned out to get rid of them.) - jdpafundi, on 11/21/2008, -1/+2Hahah well played.
- RajAtWork, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1This looks like last-minute editorial. He must have meant "dirty immigrants".
- scherzox, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1There are some great one-liners here, but that one is classic... and true!
- chesterogilvie, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1If they ruin my forests I'm going to cry.
- Fleagleman, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Ah, yes, another horrible attempt by the submitter to be clever by adding his/her own title. Just post the story.
- brandita, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1ALB is the next dutch elm disease. That's a scary thing. The only way to stop it is to cut down all the trees in an infected area to stop the spread.
