The careless use of freons started the ozone layer to become thinner and the continuing use of fossil based fuels is worsening the situation. The use of oil actually should have stopped in the 1970's during the oil crisis, maybe things would be better then.
The warming may not effect you, but what kind of a globe do you want to leave to your children and grandchildren?
I have never heard that some area of research would get too much money!!! Also I don't understand how politicians do benefit from this.
Maybe things are different in USA than Europe, but I think you don't also know anything about Europeans and our genuine desire to do what we can to stop the warming. Each individual tries to do his/her part and so far it does not cost us anything.
It is really time USA takes part in the global effort. Even the disaster of hurricane Katarina was worse because oil has been bumped underneath the land.
Germany made a mistake giving up nuclear energy and they are paying because of that. - inactive, on 01/27/2008, -0/+4A top rate post mokki!
Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge and allowing us to understand why it's summer in Japan.
We hope to see more on your blog in the future.
