Applied Solar: An American Success Story

greenwombat.blogs.fortune.cnn.… — Applied have made billions. But, given that there ’s only one thin-film factory in the US - First Solar’s - the panels for many US solar projects will be coming from overseas. It makes no economic or environmental sense to ship huge pieces of glass across the ocean to California. America is missing out big time because of poor energy policies.
