- alais, on 12/12/2008, -9/+49Does his 'green' inaugural ball involve dumping tons of co2 into the atmosphere like his other "green" events?
- optionshiftk, on 12/13/2008, -11/+44The only reason Gore is such a staunch supporter of this Global Warming initiative is money and power. It just so happens that he is on the board of the se so called "Green companies" He is a megalomanic.
- alanocu, on 12/12/2008, -11/+44It sounds like a house party for eco-terrorists.
I thought he was at the polar ice caps refreezing the glaciers. Didn't realize he was back in North America. - AntiVirusCon, on 12/12/2008, -10/+33does gore never stop with the global warming stories?
- vault, on 12/13/2008, -8/+30An Obama inaugural ball hosted by Al Gore...my heart goes out to any unfortunate waiters and janitors who happen to be there and subjected to this.
- PatrickFlorida, on 12/12/2008, -6/+24Truly 'green' would also include some...dare I say it? Smokable herb.
- motivatedguy, on 12/13/2008, -9/+25It's a bunch of elitists doing things that make them, "feel good" instead to actually, "doing good". Global warming my ass, it snowed here in New Orleans for the second time in 4 years. That has never happened here, ever.
- inactive, on 12/13/2008, -12/+27What a joke!
Hey, do you want to see if the Goracle REALLY believes in the worthiness of all this global warming bullcrap? Make this event free and ask the iGore to volunteer his time, and not be paid, for this event. :-o
[crickets] - MrFurious2k, on 12/13/2008, -6/+16If it's anything like the "green" policy at his house, he'll need to burn some tires at the event.
- 3tcp, on 12/13/2008, -0/+9carbon offsets are a scam
- gbudavid, on 12/13/2008, -1/+9Money is green...
- vat0r, on 12/13/2008, -1/+9I heard that a requirement to attend is to fly in with no more then three people riding a 747.
- partrow, on 12/13/2008, -6/+13What a buffoon!
- borez, on 12/13/2008, -7/+14I'd be more interested in what Al Gore had to say if he hadn't based his whole theory around the now debunked hockey stick graph.
- ethereel, on 12/13/2008, -0/+6but the 747s will be painted green in a show of support for the initiatives that Gore supports.
- TheJimid, on 12/13/2008, -8/+14He'll be rocking the Manbearpig coat.
- UnrulyFellows, on 12/13/2008, -1/+6You mean the fake manbearpig coat, I am sure he doesn't wear real fur.
- Infowarsdotcom, on 12/13/2008, -9/+14Yeah...we need a global government to prevent the rest of the world from polluting. Or we could actually do scientific research and find out that the Earth is cooling...

A hint of what the upcoming report contains:
“I am a skeptic…Global warming has become a new religion.” - Nobel Prize Winner for Physics, Ivar Giaever.
“Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” - Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”
Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in the history…When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.” - UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist.
“The IPCC has actually become a closed circuit; it doesn’t listen to others. It doesn’t have open minds… I am really amazed that the Nobel Peace Prize has been given on scientifically incorrect conclusions by people who are not geologists,” - Indian geologist Dr. Arun D. Ahluwalia at Punjab University and a board member of the UN-supported International Year of the Planet.
“The models and forecasts of the UN IPCC "are incorrect because they only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity.” - Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera, a researcher at the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico
“Gore prompted me to start delving into the science again and I quickly found myself solidly in the skeptic camp…Climate models can at best be useful for explaining climate changes after the fact.” - Meteorologist Hajo Smit of Holland, who reversed his belief in man-made warming to become a skeptic, is a former member of the Dutch UN IPCC committee.
Al Gore is a liar. Obama is a liar. POLITICIANS LIE FOR A LIVING! - Spoomeister, on 12/13/2008, -3/+8Philosophical masturbation by a bunch of rich guys who want to get richer off of dubious science. Whee.
- airfabio, on 12/13/2008, -2/+6Rather than trusting actual scientists, I put my full faith in Ph.Ds from Digg University.
Because liberal Bush and his EPA are just mouth pieces for green terrorists. <g>
for http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/fq/science.html - danwgre, on 12/13/2008, -2/+6Yeah, the only problem with Gore is that he is the poster child for "Do as I say, not as I do."
- UnrulyFellows, on 12/13/2008, -5/+9Its a Man Bear and Pig!!!
- TheOther1, on 12/13/2008, -5/+9You could take the first step by not jetting all over the place simply to ski down a hill.
- 3tcp, on 12/13/2008, -1/+4OH NO HIS SUPPOSED ALTRUISM IS LITTLE MORE THAN THINLY VEILED GREED AND EXPLOITATION OF ENVIRONMENTALLY CONCERNED CITIZENS FOR PERSONAL GAIN
- 3tcp, on 12/13/2008, -0/+3His point is implied and far more effective than your strawman.
Typical eurox making a crappy argument but then throwing 'typical american' in there as if to imply that american stereotypes prove that you're correct? Did that make what i said any more convincing? - david4041, on 12/13/2008, -1/+4If Al wants to hold a green house party, he better not hold it at his house.
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/GlobalWarming/Story ... - vat0r, on 12/13/2008, -1/+4Well going on a paranoid rant here but I think the powers that be needed to find a more cost effective way to maintain power. Global warming, carbon taxes and conservation all play into that scenario nicely.
- MonkeyFit, on 12/13/2008, -0/+3probably with lead based paints
- inactive, on 12/13/2008, -4/+6I bet there will be morons there to support him. This is how he affords his 6 houses that burn crude oil and tires.
- Infowarsdotcom, on 12/13/2008, -3/+5We usually don't have a ground covering of snow where I live until January.
We're a couple of weeks out and we've already gotten more than half of a regular season of snow fall. - Murdats, on 12/13/2008, -0/+2nothing, he is saying the problem is gore calling it global warming instead, then the dumbasses go "well all those people who have devoted their life to the topic are obviously wrong as I am cold right now"
- brandita, on 12/13/2008, -7/+9I guess my invitation got lost in the mail.
- 3tcp, on 12/13/2008, -0/+2real fur has a smaller carbon footprint than fake fur
he doesn't give a ***** about peta anway, just glaciers - mcquitty, on 12/13/2008, -0/+2Oil companies are republican?
- vade79, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2You're telling google has results for "global warming hoax"?! ***** the majority of scientists on the subject, google got me all in check.
- vade79, on 12/13/2008, -1/+3When did global warming become bullcrap, a bunch of dudes on digg ranting makes it false now?
- david4041, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1omaryak: You should look at the dates of the articles. Even after Gore's attempts to make his house greener, he is still using a lot more energy than the average person.
What Al should probably do to save energy is buy a smaller house. But then, what would he do with all that money he's making as the leader of the green movement? I suppose he could step up his search for ManBearPig. - thenekkidtruth, on 12/13/2008, -1/+2Sure, sure, sure . . . scientists in Iceland are on *who's* payroll exactly? Not that it won't lead to a dead end, but I wholeheartedly suggest you go after that. Burn your "No Fear" t-shirt and make it your mission in life. It will keep you busy for about 30 years, and it's a refreshing alternative to having to listen to y'all tell us Barack isn't a citizen.
- thenekkidtruth, on 12/13/2008, -4/+5Now that you ask, I'll let you in on it. Virtually every climate scientist on the planet - approx 15,000 of them, and every last one who isn't on a Republican oil company's payroll - are unanimous about the climate crisis. "It's not only very real and very dire, it's certain to have a manmade causation."
It takes a real troglodyte to perpetuate the lie after even the Bush administration acknowledged it to be true. But then, that's the sort of mentality that's led to the fact that no on cares what the right thinks any more. - monkeyheroes, on 12/15/2008, -0/+1Agreeing with you, vade79. It's suddenly become hip on digg to ignore science and reason.
- goodinohio, on 12/13/2008, -4/+5Let's go with 0 CO2. Do away with or kill everything that puts out CO2! wait....
- EventEmissary, on 12/14/2008, -0/+1My company is producing the Green Inaugural Ball (not Al Gore's party, the other one in the article) and I can respect that everyone has different opinions and I have no idea how 'green' Al Gore's event will be. What I do know is that up to 4 million people are coming to Washington, DC for the Inauguration of Barack Obama. They are flying and driving from around the country and then they are going to one or more of the hundreds of parties in town. Most of those events will not even be recycling, let alone doing anything to reduce waste or energy consumption. Even those who do not agree or believe in global warming can agree that it is just wasteful. As DC event planners, we started planning our event before Obama was even elected. Our goal is two fold: show that you can have a high-calibur event and minimize the impact on our environment while offering the people coming to the inauguration a better way to celebrate it.
I also read within the comments below about www.GreenInauguralBall.com being dropped off of search engines. This is partially true. Sometime yesterday our site was dropped or sandboxed or banned from Google. We have no idea how we went from the number one site with the search 'Green Inaugural Ball' to being gone completely. I went through hundreds of pages on Google and it is nowhere to found. I shall be making my attempt to navigate through Google's phone system first thing Monday morning to find out what happened. I ask those of you who do believe in what we are doing to share the information about the Green Inaugural Ball (www.greeninauguralball.com) It is going to be a great party! - flip2trip, on 12/14/2008, -0/+1I've never said B.O. isn't a citizen. And like it or not scientists are on somone's payroll, just because you come up with one scenario that is unlikely to be biased doesn't mean that bias doesn't exist.
And you are aware that the earth goes through climate change all the time? It didn't just happen in the last hundred years. The point is we need to be careful in saying that man-made production of CO2 is what is primarily responsible for climate-change. What if we cut back on our CO2 production and that launches us into another ice age which we cannot reverse? - dpop416, on 12/14/2008, -1/+2Al Gore invented the environment.
- 3tcp, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1lol, buried for overwhelming common sense apparently
- tisk, on 12/14/2008, -0/+1http://www.theonion.com/content/news/al_gore_place ...
- 3tcp, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1imported chinese lead based paints
- durruticolumn, on 09/18/2009, -0/+1"How well do you understand it?"
Better than someone who thinks snow in New Orleans disproves climate change, I'll assure you of that.
"Can you provide data to support that average winter temperatures have increased in any given region?"
There's a reason it's called *global* climate change. -
