- ScienceDoc, on 10/10/2007, -7/+227It looks like the Aral Sea. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aral_Sea

- supermajic, on 10/10/2007, -3/+160Reminds me of that movie Sahara. Anyone know anything about this ship.
- jumbalia, on 10/10/2007, -8/+108I thought Noah landed on a mountain top...
- jeffness, on 10/10/2007, -5/+104i don't think that's in the middle of the desert. you can see water on the very left and very top of the image.
- 0akley, on 10/10/2007, -4/+79in the middle of the desert (next to the ocean)
- sanman, on 10/10/2007, -3/+77I personally believe that this ship was put there by US Americans who don't have maps. And so we need to help them and South Africa go to Darfur, like such as the Iraq. This way the US education can help the US, and the Iraq, South Africa and the Asian countries, to build the future for such as our.

- InsideLine, on 10/10/2007, -12/+80Is anyone else instantly reminded of At World's End when they read this title?
- jaxt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+48Skeleton Coast, Namibia
http://www.namibweb.com/skeleton.htm - doshindude, on 10/10/2007, -4/+49Tatooine, anyone?
- quomen, on 10/10/2007, -1/+43I'm waiting for millions of sand crabs to come up and carry it to the ocean.
- Brodels, on 10/10/2007, -2/+44Interesting, the random photo set link to the summer girls album was pretty sweet too. http://m3.bestpicever.com/piles/?s=summergirls
- M4v3rIC, on 10/10/2007, -1/+36This ship is probably located in the Darfur region where a channel was constructed, but many boats couldn't beat the drought out to the sea, and the lake dried up.
- razrielle, on 10/10/2007, -1/+28Damn, i have to watch the movie again, i didnt realize how much an ironclad looked like an oiltanker
[i hope i dont have to point out the sarcasm] - drgruney, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27It eroded.
- moofer, on 10/10/2007, -9/+35I think someone got some biblical flood information wrong.
- nicktheawesome, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25It's Jabba's sail barge!
- revron999, on 10/10/2007, -0/+22This looks like The Skeleton Coast of Namibia:
http://www.action-options.com/html/namibia_by_air. ... - lalonauta, on 10/10/2007, -3/+25Stone-crabs of course
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -13/+32Global warming did this!
- Cwo655321, on 10/10/2007, -11/+29yeah, since that happened in recent history (its a metal ship)
- onewingedangel9, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19Yeah I'm pretty sure you're right. I think I saw something on the history channel with pictures like this. There were a number of vessels stranded when it was diverted.
- thePheonix9, on 10/10/2007, -14/+31Ark's in Africa silly.
>< Sorry, Halo on the brain. - MrTankJump, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18Amazing, how did you find it?
- Crispin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Yep, that's even the same ship from a different angle on that page.
- revron999, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15The Skeleton Coast of Namibia - Here is the Location with another PIC:
http://www.panoramio.com/photo/2466584 - blackjack75, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15And lots of people.
Who couldn't resist going in. - enakra, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15NO ***** WAY!
- jaxt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14It's one of many wrecks found along the shores of Namibia's Skeleton Coast. Many of the wrecks are now very far inland due to the westwardly advancing desert into the ocean. http://www.namibweb.com/skeleton.htm
- wburglett, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Are you sure we are going the right way?
- Orlex, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16I think he was implying that they were wrong about Noah making the boat out of wood? Maybe a joke? Maybe?
- tothemax64, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12You Maniacs! You Blew it up! Damn you! Damn you all to Hell!!!
- Wahngrok, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12I vote for Skeleton Coast as well:
http://www.namibweb.com/skeleton.htm
I believe this page even shows the same ship from a different perspective. - Ajjah, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Very small rocks, you mean?
- rushiku, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Well, no. They refract (bend) light. When we see a typical water mirage, what we're seeing is the sky refracted through the relatively hotter air at ground level, the air is not uniformly heated, and causes the 'image' to shimmer. Voila, 'water'.
- Bara, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11I believe it was a joke, and you obviously have no sense of humor.
- dagr8tim, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11I wish there was a bigger picture to use as a wallpaper. :-(
- brewno2k, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11The movie "Encounters of the Third Kind" also has a ship in the middle of the desert.
- vat0r, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Agreed, looks quite similar compared to others.
- 1337jared, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11Noah had an aircraft?
- MisteryMeat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Yeah, that looks more than 60 cubits wide.
- Butros, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9OMG spoilers!
- DMBrown, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Its the Khar-Toba...
- Rikushix, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I remember watching a documentary about this back in high school. The Aral Sea is insane.
- wing05, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Is there a stone tablet inside with markings and something indicating "Home World"?
- jimmiss, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I wonder what's inside? I couldn't resist going in.
- andburn1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Now THAT, my friends, is skill.
- crashingechelon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I immediately thought it was gonna be the Black Pearl
