- boo19, on 11/11/2007, -6/+48I'm not sure why I clicked on that. Oh, a scorpion giving birth. Click. JESUS CHRIST ON A STICK
- ivankraszl, on 11/10/2007, -5/+44I knew there will be consequences to this: http://adsoftheworld.com/media/print/french_aids_a ...
- banmaster, on 11/09/2007, -0/+37You ever seen a human childbirth?
Now THATS disgusting!! - xyqxyq, on 11/10/2007, -1/+28I love when stuff like this is on Digg.
- louiedog, on 11/11/2007, -0/+26I had to take a make up physics quiz in high school during one of my study halls. The physics teacher also taught a human anatomy class and neglected to mention that while I was making up my quiz she would be screening "The Miracle of Birth" to her anatomy students. Oh man was I ever unprepared.
- AmICoolNow, on 11/09/2007, -1/+27Am I retarded for thinking scorpions came from eggs?
- inactive, on 11/10/2007, -0/+25I had an emperor scorpion that gave birth a few years ago. Arachnids are fascinating creatures, so different, alien and primitive. Cool pics!
- axisofphilippe, on 11/09/2007, -1/+25So hot.
- robdavy, on 11/09/2007, -0/+21It's better than seeing an error message when trying to viewing a dugg-to-death site
- zomgflamer, on 11/10/2007, -4/+22I was planning on beating off before this pic. Now, i dont think i can anymore...... nevermind.
- tonaros, on 11/14/2007, -1/+19CRAB BATTLE!!!
- tounchin, on 11/09/2007, -0/+16Thanks pal, you just burned my eyes.
- Rodalli, on 11/10/2007, -1/+17Because it's educational and interesting and, unlike most of the stuff on Digg (unfortunately), furthers my understanding of the world and my place in it. At least, that's my reason, if you'll forgive my sentimental disposition.
- WootZoot, on 11/09/2007, -0/+15even though they look more like crabs and lobsters, they are geneticly closer to spiders.
- unclecaveman, on 11/09/2007, -1/+12I for one welcome our new baby scorpion overlords
- Berkana, on 11/09/2007, -4/+15For once, I can say without any hesitation that these baby creatures are NOT cute. Friggin' nasty.
- 9a3eedi, on 11/09/2007, -0/+10Same thought o.o
- mykool, on 11/09/2007, -0/+9Taking in to consideration the mirror site has no ads, and the source site is moving like a frozen fire ant stuck in molasses...I'd say no harm no foul.
- ZenMojo, on 11/09/2007, -1/+10Humans come from eggs, too....
- pshoaxbuster, on 11/09/2007, -0/+8Babies come out of an opening on the bottom of the momma's body, then they climb onto her back.
- BlackJackJester, on 11/09/2007, -1/+8Just looking at these creatures up close really makes you appreciate evolution (if you believe in that sort of thing). Exceedingly dangerous to most animals. A very elegant killing machine.
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -0/+6its so wierd, that white piece of jelly ***** will grow and become black and hard like his mother???
- Berkana, on 11/10/2007, -3/+9Even though scorpions are classified as arachnids, I think they should be classified as crustaceans; morphologically speaking, they are radically different from other arachnids, but are much more similar to land crustaceans such as sow bugs, as well as marine crustaceans such as shrimp and lobsters.
- endlessoul, on 11/09/2007, -3/+9Sorry pal, but scorpions never look cute.
- pshoaxbuster, on 11/09/2007, -0/+6Beautiful. I had 2 Emperor scorpions that gave birth. For such "scary" creatures, they sure are tender and caring mothers. After the babies are born, they climb onto the mothers back and hitch a ride for a couple of weeks. The babies are kinda nasty when they're white, but after a day or two, they darken up and look cute!
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -1/+7why?
(I don't mean anything by it, just curious) - pshoaxbuster, on 11/09/2007, -1/+6Yup, human births are more disgusting
- thebillgonadz, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5SCARAB INBOUND!!
- IntensePuppy, on 11/10/2007, -0/+5Scorpion sex must be very dangerous
- Eupatorus, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5So after a quick Goog turns out that scorpions both come from eggs and are birthed.....crazy!: "The fertilised eggs develop inside her body, and she then gives birth to live young. She carries the pale young scorpions on her back for the first few days or weeks, until they are strong enough to become independent."
http://www.amonline.net.au/factsheets/scorpions.ht ... - 2tails, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5I thought I'd seen it all. Not really but it sounds good. Awesome pics. And now I know how they do it.
- pizzler, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5Here are the pics from the link........

- Eupatorus, on 11/09/2007, -0/+4I can't believe there were that many comments posted before someone brought that up. I'm pretty sure mammals are the only creatures that give birth. Arachnids aren't mammals last I checked, but *****, Pluto isn't a planet anymore so I pretty much doubt everything I ever learned in the education system. Including math and dodgeball.
- banmaster, on 11/09/2007, -1/+5And really, all a lobster is, is an underwater spider!
- nukethewhales, on 11/09/2007, -3/+7Am I the only dork reminded of the Barrens? Damn Scorpids!
- Al3x, on 11/09/2007, -0/+4Where are they coming out of?? It's mouth? Not that gross, I don't know why some people are freaking out.
- BlueStreak69, on 11/09/2007, -1/+5Oh, how lovely. More scorpions.
- c0ldfusi0n, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3Whoa. You're using BBCode on Digg. Welcome to teh intarweb.
- loganhuddleston, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3i have nightmares about things that look like that.
- ZenMojo, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3Several snakes are also livebirthed.
- cgruber, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3Some fish are live birthed. My swordtails for example.
- gonegoogling, on 11/11/2007, -1/+4kinda, but i still do it all the time ; )
- DeucesWild, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3They look kinda tasty to me. Just put them on some rice with soy sauce and maybe a little wasabi. Hmmm...
- bagboyrebel, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3stop saying that!
- Ikon, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2Haha, last pic looks like he is saying: I see what you did there.
- inactive, on 11/10/2007, -3/+5OMG!
LOL "JESUS CHRIST ON A STICK"
*dies laughing* - glui2001, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2Where are the babies coming out from? The torso?
- Double-Z, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2*shudders*
- Yamaste, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2This deals a serious blow to the legitimacy of Sealab. In the episode where Captain Murphey gets trapped underneath the Be-Bop Cola machine, Ben the Scorpian lays its eggs in the Captain's navel, where they proceed to hatch and give him super human, Hulk-like abilities to battle the tooth stealing, cleaning robot. Now that I know that scorpions actually give birth, I'm not sure if I'll be able to take the show seriously anymore.
