- Heavypettingzoo, on 02/22/2009, -1/+43The scale of that photo is so confusing! I thought everything was HUGE until I saw the guy.
- ryan83189, on 02/22/2009, -2/+40It is, during a sandstorm a giant disco ball and strobe lights pop out of that cement column and this song plays. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZXPP7qMSz4
- jordantneff, on 02/22/2009, -0/+17For some reason that thing reminds me of that pit in spiderman 3 that made sandman become sandman. Probably from all the sand...
- nighthawk8713, on 02/22/2009, -0/+16There was no Spiderman 3.

- lulutv, on 02/22/2009, -0/+5Uncle Owen! This droid has a bad motivator!
- thundacatblue, on 02/22/2009, -0/+5hmmm....the suffocating mass of sand on the right side makes me think that this is definitely NOT a good place to shelter from a sandstorm.
- jordantneff, on 02/22/2009, -0/+5Oh there was, it just sucked.

- diggbru, on 02/22/2009, -0/+2Without that guy on the left, the hole would look ENORMOUS. I didn't even realize that it wasn't all that big until I saw the man on the side..
- zombiecarlin, on 02/22/2009, -0/+2Racist.
- DiggLord, on 02/22/2009, -0/+2It was originaly made for a place to shelter when a sandstorm arrives.
- SCscoutguy, on 02/22/2009, -0/+2It looks like it might have been the base to a turret of some kind in the past much like the coastal gun batteries we used to have all along the US coast. You can see the structure in the middle that would have supported the turret and then on the rim you can see area that looks like it could have been the place where a track sat so the turret could rotate. I guess the best comparison I could make would be the turrets on the Maginot line.

- srs2000, on 02/22/2009, -0/+1My vote is for an ancient satellite dish no doubt used for contacting aliens. I mean come on... You don't think those pyramids could function as landing pads AND communication devices.
