92% of "neutral" Eco-skeptics turn out to be industry shills
enn.com — A review of skeptical environmental literature published over 30 years has determined that >90% of self-proclaimed "independent" skeptics are actually paid shills for industrial and politically motivated think tanks. Ironically, these same skeptics consistently portray themselves as guardians of scientific integrity while undermining the same.

Analogous to the "military experts" that were all over the news in the lead-up to, and subsequent cheerleading for, the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq.
Nothing is more deleterious to the free exchange of ideas than supposed "neutral experts" who are corporate or administration shills.
