too bad we dont have a nice plural alligator word to use. :) - ricree, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5@hrhs556x
My guess is that the law is meant to allow them to easily get rid of alligators if they are ever considered a menace. If it is illegal to own one, then it makes it a lot harder for the owners to put up a fight. In this guy's case, no one seems to have complained, and he gave it up voluntarily, so there isn't much of a problem. That said, he should be responsible for any costs incurred in removing and transporting it. - doofusoftheday, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6"The man had built an indoor pond in his basement." Cool. I didn't know they had Rednecks up in Albany.
- jessedredd, on 10/11/2007, -5/+9Too bad they didn't cook him. There taste pretty damn good.
- markowe, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Now if they had removed a basement FROM an alligator, I might be impressed...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5yeah, housedigga, and while you're having fun he'd take your ***** head off in one bite.
- glasnostic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Damn I wanted to post exactly that but I was beat by too many people.. sooo
There once was a woman from Decatur, who was laid by a big alligator
Now nobody knew the result of that screw,
Cause after he laid her he ate her. - doofusoftheday, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Dang it, had Albany on my mind as my sister lives near there. My bad!
- darkyplasma, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I heard a similar story before here in Arizona. A 9 foot alligator was pulled from the basement of this Australian mans basement and he was put into custody for raising a wild animal without a permit.
- xstarsprinklesx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3That's excellent they're moving him to a sanctuary instead of just killing him like they so often do.
- Mongoose, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Pics or it didn't happen.
- Jyaif, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2"a new home in a more gator-friendly place"
Bam Margera's mom house? - wvstephens, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1By the way what is the big deal about the reptiles in the basement. Have the news crew never heard of a hobby? I have over 50 different reptiles in my basement, everything from 2 large Burmese pythons to the smallest of Geckos.. Oh now now the news police are going to come to my house and make me out to be a freak as well.
- Twinked, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2That's to hard to say.
- wvstephens, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yea not as interesting as this video clip. Yes I am from WV and I promise you not everyone from WV look like these people.
Actually I am going to defend the state even further before everyone pokes fun. Most of the individuals form the interview are not
from WV as you can tell from their accent.
Gator found in our local creek.

Linguistics FTW! - maffick, on 10/11/2007, -6/+2Sleepy alligator in the noonday sun
Sleepin by the river just like he usually done
Call for his whisky
He can call for his tea
Call all he wanta but he
can't call me
Oh no
I been there before
and I'm not comin back around
there no more
Creepy alligator comin all around the bend
Talkin bout the times when we was mutual friends
I check my mem'ry
I check it quick yes I will
I check it runnin
some old kind of trick
Oh no well I
been there before
and I ain't a comin back around
there no more
no I'm not
[this verse by the Grateful Dead:]
hung up waitin' for a windy day
Hung up waitin for a windy day
Tear down the Fillmore,
Gas the Avalon
[this verse by McKernan:]
Ridin down the river in an old canoe
a bunch of bugs and an old tennis shoe
out of the river all ugly and green
the biggest old alligator that I've ever seen
teeth big and pointed and his eyes were buggin out
contact the union, put the beggars to route
screamin and yellin and lickin his chops
he never runs he just stumbles and hops
just out of prison on six dollars bail
mumblin at bitches and waggin his tail
Alligator runnin round my door (4x)
Alligator creepin round the corner of my cabin door
He's comin round to bother me some more - DaBrainiac, on 10/11/2007, -9/+2@deacont23
