***** weed. i don’t know exactly when this ***** became so popular (other than the cliche image of the sixties) but weed sucks. Anyone I know who smokes it is going to be washing dishes until their dead. If you are going to do drugs do a real one, or at least take up drinking. - kplo, on 04/01/2009, -11/+67Lesson Number Six: Always be sure to...um, wait, what was I just saying?
- AdrianKRAZY, on 01/08/2009, -16/+70Dugg cause I'm high.
- roflmcwaffles, on 01/09/2009, -7/+59This Mendocino County sounds like a wonderful place to live.
- JaggOff, on 01/08/2009, -12/+56dugg because i am going to be soon.
- twiztidsinz, on 01/09/2009, -2/+36I wasn't going to believe him at first, but the way he spelled "they're" as "their" really convinced me and showed me the light.
- Kahzmo, on 01/09/2009, -3/+31I worked in a marijuana growing warehouse once. There are far more interesting goodies to share on this topic. That was kind of a snore.. but alas. Trimming is literally a sticky business..and monotonous. But take the trimmings and make butter...cookies for everyone!!
- DouglasQ, on 01/09/2009, -3/+31Dave's not here man...
- Pheser, on 01/09/2009, -5/+33Rule #1: Save the stuff that sticks to your sciccors
- enantiodromia, on 01/09/2009, -5/+32i can think if at least 30 people i know who make six-figures a year, own million dollar homes, and are professional stoners.
- Manther, on 01/09/2009, -2/+28I was gonna digg you up, but then I got high...
- kaoitik, on 01/09/2009, -8/+32Buried.
- LemonChicken, on 01/09/2009, -1/+24Don't digg this man down, it is the truth!
- badwithcomputer, on 01/09/2009, -3/+25sounds like a potential andy storyline for the next season of weeds. complete with gangs from la and everything.
- steel66, on 01/10/2009, -1/+21Smoked daily for years- gave up to stop health damage- learned to make wicked pot-butter and now have a stash of cookies on hand at all times..My friends have become like Pavlov's dogs when i arrive to any social occasion- where's the cookies??? Never smoked in the morning or was stoned at work- I use for recreation only and everything is fine.
- superbobd, on 01/09/2009, -1/+20I think it's just because everyone is really baked all the time....so when it's time to eat, they take it very, very seriously.
- RSS14, on 01/09/2009, -4/+22I also made a list about "7 Things I learned in a Pot Farm", but I forgot where I put it.
- merreborn, on 01/09/2009, -1/+17I've heard consuming cannabis can make you hungry.
- jsffive, on 01/10/2009, -3/+18Take up drinking?
Tell you what, you go get a six pack of light beer, and I'll get six joints. You drink the six beers, and I'll smoke the six joints. We'll wait an hour and a half, to let it sink in, then we'll both go drive an obstacle course...
Until you're ready to put your money where your mouth is, you're just talking out your ass.
The "just say no" zombies, like the cops, like to SAY "smoke pot, and you'll destroy your life. And just to prove it, we're going to destroy your life beforehand."
Screw you idiot. - odigity, on 01/09/2009, -7/+22Get to the back of the bus then, *****.
- enantiodromia, on 01/10/2009, -2/+17@grolsch,
come to the silicon valley and educate yourself. it's not my problem if you don't believe it, but it is true nonetheless.
and this will really bake your noodle: pot is not the only drug they enjoy regularly, and yet they are more successful than you will ever be. - odigity, on 01/10/2009, -1/+15He said it's wrong to be proud of breaking laws, even when they're stupid. So I decided to enforce some segregation laws on his ass, see if he felt proud for obeying them.
It's clear from the number of people digging me down that they'd rather feign moral offense at my use of the word ***** than appreciate the very important point I was trying to make satirically (which is in support of civil rights).
I'm really tired of censorship. - absurdist, on 01/10/2009, -1/+15@grolsch:
I've been smoking weed since I was 12. I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering. I own my own business, work all over the world, and make six figures a year easily, while still having enough free time to be able to enjoy all of my other passions.
Better luck next time. - retop56, on 01/10/2009, -8/+22Mr. Babyman FTL
- AWBoy666, on 01/09/2009, -0/+13And what other modern countries have legalized weed? What do conservatives have to do with it?
Most of the rednecks I know smoke much more weed than your average hippie. - Totz83, on 01/09/2009, -0/+12And the rest are uptight buzzkills?
- jas168, on 01/10/2009, -1/+13Grolsch: The commercials on TV may indicate otherwise, but weed is just a plant and the high isn't so radical as to ruin a life. Your view would be like assuming that because adults drink, that they must binge like a pack of teenagers and therefore are unsuccessful in life. Just because you've only seen the bad doesn't mean it's all bad.
- dronesixtyten, on 01/10/2009, -1/+13I doubt he's that successful. All the smokers he knows, work with him washing dishes.
- CivicTV, on 08/14/2009, -3/+14dugg cuz . . . wait . . what?
- enantiodromia, on 01/09/2009, -1/+11lol, half of the sysadmins and coders who work at any of your favorite web companies are regular stoners. get a clue.
- KingGorilla, on 01/10/2009, -1/+11Well except all the LA gangs coming in with their AK-47's
- fant0m, on 01/09/2009, -2/+12Can I be your friend, too? That sounds like the life!
- mulling, on 01/09/2009, -6/+16Funny how the DEA is basically another armed gang trying to steal product from these hard-working people. If only we had a government to protect us from these savages.
- JamesBondJr, on 01/08/2009, -4/+13dugg cause I was
- whiledo, on 03/25/2009, -1/+10Possibly, but not by a guy who worked on a pot farm.
- digitalpencil, on 01/09/2009, -0/+9yeah, it's kind of evident form the fact that it's titled "7 Things I Learned Working on a Pot Farm" followed by the description reading "So here are 5 truths and fictions about working on a pot farm:"
- getrealnow, on 01/10/2009, -0/+9buy a vaporizer
- browwiw, on 01/09/2009, -4/+13here in Kentucky the pot farmers are goddam savage. They set booby traps like punji stick holes and fish hooks strung on fishing line at eye level between trees. It makes any kind of hunting, hiking, or camping incredibly dangerous (especially since the morons like to set up shop on state land). Things have gotten exponentially worse since the ***** have started adding outdoor methlabs to their repertoire.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against marijuana (I've smoked enough of it, trust me), but I feel bad for anybody that has to deal directly with the grower. - lisaawesome, on 01/10/2009, -4/+13The only loser potheads I know were losers before they ever toked.
- jbob2000, on 01/09/2009, -2/+11For those further interested in the business and politics behind marijuana, i suggest downloading/finding a documentary called The Union: The Business Behind Getting High.
- hippiekiller84, on 01/09/2009, -3/+12dugg because i am
- spreadheadTC, on 01/10/2009, -1/+10Zero possibility, though its long overdue. Any politician who stood up and tried to spearhead a legalization movement would basically be committing political suicide-- it's just that kind of issue. Ever hear a politician stand up and say I THINK WE NEED MORE ABORTIONS, AND MAKE THEM CHEAPER? Of course not-- because certain positions are a political litmus test in this country. For example, in order to run for a prominent office, you need to agree that:
1) Abortions are bad.
2) Jesus rules.
3) Marijuana needs to remain illegal.
Maybe that will change in 20 years, but not 5.
I do agree with you, though, in that I forsee decriminalization-- such as what we're seeing in Massachusetts-- proliferating significantly. The crucial difference, though, is that decriminalization is usually the result of a ballot initiative, not a legislative initiative, which is what would be required for legalization.
Still, dugg up for hope. - CreepingDeath, on 01/10/2009, -5/+131) or maybe your just ***** in the head (16 yrs on I am arguably much smarter then when I started smoking)
2) See #1
3) Psychologically maybe, physically its about as addictive as a bag of Doritos. - LibrarianEtarip, on 01/09/2009, -2/+10"When eating is involved on a pot farm, it gets very quiet. TRUE!"
Can someone explain this one? - LOCK3D, on 01/09/2009, -2/+10Don't forget the "finger hash" which you can peal off your rubber gloves after trimming a fair bit. Damn, that stuff is wicked.
Um, of course that is all speculation, officers. - digitalpencil, on 01/09/2009, -1/+9but you know it's going straight to the FP cause it's about WEED..
