- magnetoms, on 06/12/2009, -3/+7Yeah, and one of them is piracy! http://www.wackii.net/image/Piracy_Helps_Stop_Glob ...
- jdames1980, on 06/12/2009, -1/+4This is actually a good list for once.
- mostie, on 06/12/2009, -1/+4I've been trying to stop receiving unwanted catalogs for years. But new ones keep coming and the old ones keep coming back!
- inactive, on 06/12/2009, -1/+3You're so controversial!!
- vilago, on 06/12/2009, -0/+1imo hybrids arent really that good for the environment. they just market them as such and so people believe it. honestly if you want better gas mileage for cheap get a 250cc motorcycle. 80mpg easy. and you don't run as much of a risk of getting hurt as on a bigger heavier bike, if safety is your thing.
- vilago, on 06/12/2009, -1/+2"Did you know that it takes 26 bottles of water to produce the plastic container for a one-liter bottle of water, and that doing so pollutes 25 liters of groundwater?"
Does anyone else think this makes no sense?
*16 pages? wtf - neillawson, on 06/12/2009, -1/+2I like the part where the advertisements came up and I closed the window
- sildude, on 06/12/2009, -1/+2I thought you were going somewhere with this, instead you turned out to be a moron.
- aufte, on 06/12/2009, -2/+3This is the part where we all say, this is great and we'll make the changes. Just like every time one of these lists has popped up for the last six years. And yet, somehow, the environment is still dying, we're a funny species.
- sirron811, on 06/12/2009, -1/+2#17 - buy and drive a hybrid or all electric vehicle (i mean a real hybrid - not one that is labeled that way and only tops-out around 30 mpg). The purchase allows the market to report demand, and it saves you money on gas!
- ebookey, on 06/12/2009, -3/+3"Give Up Toilet Paper !"
I'll give it a try :) :) :) - goot776, on 06/12/2009, -1/+0i like the part where it mentions that people won't do any of this stuff unless you tax them. cause it's true.
- inactive, on 06/12/2009, -6/+3I won't do a single thing, just for the kicks. Go on and hate me. I'm gonna get my car to buy milk everyday for every bury I'll get.
Plastic bags? Hell yes, I'm gonna TRIPLE bag my groceries, then burn the plastic near the Tevere river in Rome. Bottled water, here we come! And when I'm done, they're gonna drown in that same river. Unwanted catalogs be my guest, I'm going to sign to every single ***** advertisment service that offers them, plus I'll ask my bank and ISP to send me cartaceous receipts instead of digital equivalents. My clothes will always be squaky-clean and germ free thanks to my non-biofriendly detergent AND the 75°C water used to wash them with. Of course, I do 5 small cycles a week out of commodity, I'm not gonna wait 3 days for my washing machine to fill up. Clothes dryiers are SO-COOL, it's like magic - you wash your clothes, you put them in and they're done. I want my clothes now, I don't give a ***** about the environment - what I do give a ***** about, tho, it's my ass since I use only the best paper I can get my cold hands on. The more trees I'm wiping my ***** off with, the merrier.
And, wanna know something? That blonde hippie in the "Give Up Paper Towels" is gonna club baby seals for money, if she needs to. She doesn't give a *****, too. And she wants to stay cool during summers and hot in the winter. I'm gonna stay at 21°C with my AC on, forever. In my car, and in my house. Recycling is too boring, too. I won't touch my waste and divide it and put them in those ***** bags and *****, hell now I won't. I'm just gonna pay someone to toss that ***** out of my *****-palace.
Goddamn those hippies are irritating.
