- crashbang, on 10/10/2007, -1/+98Have they even CONSIDERED Godzilla in this whole thing???
- Captbob007, on 10/10/2007, -2/+44I bet if Wright had designed WordPress, it wouldn't suck
- FearlessFreep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19It's pyramid/mountain shaped..
- ideapower, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21Do you even know what WordPress IS?? It's not a hosting company.
- disruptor108, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Arcologies from SimCity 2000 are finally appearing in real life...
- heysuburbia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10The discovery channel has a great show on this and how it will most likely going to happen in the near future:

THIS is Frank Lloyd Wright. - FearlessFreep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8But you could probably ski down the side...
- fpcyber, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Somehow reminds me of iRobot. I hate the name, but the idea and surprisingly good looks behind it is good enough to get my vote.
- InfinitySnatch, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7There was nothing in Evangelion even closely similar to this.
- jonathantneal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6No, but :

- Dokument, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5oh yeah.
- wakkow, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6The page says it'd cost 300-900 billion to build. The war in iraq is coming up on $454 billion. I'd rather see this building built...
- b3owulf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6You're an idiot.
It's like saying, "The Beatles are the most overrated band ever. Everything they make sounds awful." Except Wright died before the beatles existed, and like their work, his buildings are still relevant today. - WhereAmI, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6This is a condition I refer to commonly. This poor man has played so much Halo that he cannot envision anything greater, which is really sad.
- rstarr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Terrifying, truly.
- penguinomint, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5while wearing one of those wing suits.
- FearlessFreep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Big enough that Godzilla would just look up at it and think "Holy..."
I saw Appleseed this weekend and my first thought was "Tartarus" - Frost9999, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7You might ask more questions like - How many times has that happened in all history? Once. So STFU you paranoid idiot. Go worry about something that is actually a risk to people.. like heart disease or car accidents. Terrorism kills just about the least number of people compared to anything.
- tribble222, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5It says "The X-Seed 4000 is the tallest building ever fully envisioned, meaning that the designs for construction have been completed."
- alexology, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4wish they came up with a better name than 'x-seed'...sounds like some cheap porn
- miketrin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Since 9/11 rewrote the law of physics a fire of any sort in a large building always results in a complete collapse in 35 minutes. No one should be in buildings over 3 stories period! It's way too dangerous. /sarcasm
- whiskeymb, on 10/10/2007, -17/+21Could people PLEASE stop posting Wordpress stories to digg? Don't you get that their servers can't handle the bandwidth. It's pointless!!!!
- Lyk4n, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8Japan is prone to earthquakes, I don't foresee this one going up anytime soon..
- FearlessFreep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3one bathroom
- nuschu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I like Bucky's version better
http://digg.com/design/PICTURE_The_Floating_City_of_the_Year_2000_from_1979 - QueEsAmor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I'm pretty sure a building with a 3.5 mile base could handle a jet.
- diggernaught, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Live on? Looks dead to me.
- JasonCox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Millennium Gate, anyone?
- CalmLlama, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Motorcycle!
- K3ITHK, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I think Godzilla, Mothra and King Kong may have to team up on this one.
- Paroparo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Oh, it would cost way less than the US national debt. How about you guys build it for the Japs, and they pay it off for you? Sounds like a win-win to me. =P
- Dokument, on 10/10/2007, -6/+8sweet for basejumping.
- heysuburbia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3MediaTemple is the way to go, never failed me. Been on the front page of digg 8-9 times, never slowed down and I have WordPress running.
- nreynolds, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4looks like a good idea to me. This building looks incredibly stable, seeing as it's basically a mountain. A jumbo-jet to this thing would be like a pretty large rock to a skyscraper.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The expression is "win/win", as opposed to "win/lose."
- nreynolds, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3that looks to be something slightly different that this to me.
- KireGoTI, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Solar-powered anti-Godzilla laser.
- Thegoatseman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Maybe we should quit building cities altogether. They are perfect nuke targets.
- knowyourrights, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2you're, not your
- voetsjoeba, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2They do host blogs actually. I believe it's called Wordpress µ, pronounced as Wordpress MU for Multi-User.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2anddd the sites down already
- loconet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You are a retard. See http://images.google.ca/images?q=Fallingwater&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&rls=com.ubuntu:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi
- mojibyrd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I wonder if they will ever build this before Japan is no more, with all those earthquakes, japan is going to be a blurb in the history books in the not too distant future than a small country off the coast of China.
- eq2s, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Designing the building to be built over water will NOT make it easier to construct.
- ICSU, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1see this and shut up
http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/engineering/pyramidcity/interactive/interactive.html - Lawrencediggs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Could you imagine living on the 800th floor. The elevator ride alone would take at least an hour. Sorry I was late for work boss, the elevator was down and taking the stairs took me 5 hours. I also didn't see anything in the blueprints for parking. I guess by the time this is completed Tokyo will be so overpopulated that no one will drive cars on the roads.
