- JlmAWP, on 11/17/2007, -29/+442He hates Bush and reads Digg. Keith Olbermann, you are my hero.
- Lixie, on 11/17/2007, -6/+242Well, he's been on digg so much, it's about time digg should be on his show.
- TheKarmaPolice, on 11/17/2007, -6/+231finally we know who's been submitting all of those keith olberman videos on digg...it was KEITH OLBERMAN!
god bless him. - cheese06, on 11/17/2007, -8/+195C'mon, everyone knows the mainstream media relies on digg to gather stories, especially the quirky ones.
- mojaam, on 11/17/2007, -4/+132Who diggs the digg-it song at the end haha.
- Electric_Sheep, on 11/17/2007, -10/+131Well, his researchers read Digg.
- royalwcheese, on 11/17/2007, -3/+95We are looking at you Attack of the Show.
- CWal37, on 11/17/2007, -2/+67I hate to break it to you, but attack of the show isn't mainstream media, I think you ned to break into triple digit viewership numbers for that to happen.
- vade79, on 11/17/2007, -7/+65He gets good ratings, do you even look ***** up before you speak?
- agilligan, on 11/17/2007, -0/+56Well, he did say "briefly banned...".
- xerigen, on 11/17/2007, -4/+56Amazing that TV clips from Fox News wasn't allowed on digg. Especially considering all of the nsfw stories, swearing, and illegal activities that are discussed openly here. Even more hilarious that the national media picked up on it.
- Kronos6948, on 11/17/2007, -7/+53It's a shame Olbermann didn't get the whole story and mention how Kevin released the story again after realizing it wasn't TOS abuse.
- Gdub, on 11/17/2007, -0/+42I've definitely seen this. Every day the news will run an off-beat story and ten-to-one I saw it like four days earlier on Digg.
- archiesteel, on 11/17/2007, -4/+40Actually, the majority of Americans have liberal views. I know you don't want to face the facts, but *you* are the minority, not only on Digg, but in America.
- Iknockstuffdown, on 11/17/2007, -7/+42Why did he tweak out at the end?
- Gabberwok, on 11/17/2007, -3/+35Notice the music in the background? "Come on baby, digg it!"
Dammit, mojaam beat me to it! - swoopdog, on 11/17/2007, -5/+36digg + olbermann = automatic digg
- Triachus, on 11/17/2007, -3/+34Even my ***** grandmother loves Olbermann like he was Murrow incarnate. Olbermann's ratings are absolutely fine.
- cecinestpasvrai, on 11/17/2007, -2/+31Holy ***** guys. The great thing about the internet is you can contextualize people's ***** with facts. Just post a link with evidence to your argument, and then *poof* the other guy's an *****.

FTA: Keith Olbermann, the popular sportscaster-turned-newsman who hosts "Countdown" on MSNBC, has for months openly challenged the prince of darkness himself, Bill O'Reilly, in both ratings and relevance. By competing directly with "The O'Reilly Factor," once the unquestioned king of cable news, Olbermann has won over a significant number of viewers, even occasionally surpassing O'Reilly's ratings among the all-important 25-54 age demographic
This, as far as anyone in television is concerned, is ratings, and big ratings for that age crowd. - alski707, on 11/17/2007, -0/+28I took it as despair over the fact that the internet could be less sleazy and more restrained than a TV news channel
- boombye, on 11/17/2007, -6/+26Yeah because McCain has supporters on the right who claim to be the better people, morally and religiously, and all of that... So you kind of have to wonder what it says about him and his supports when they laugh and make such hateful remarks. Then again I'm no flanders, but I'm saying that's probably why.
- archiesteel, on 11/17/2007, -1/+20So, according to you, ratings determine the value of the message? I hope you realize how stupid that is, right?
Anyway, surely you have a link to those ratings, since you claim to have seen them. Please post. - Shalaby, on 11/17/2007, -0/+18I'm pretty sure Leno's writers read digg
- JohnM5, on 11/17/2007, -4/+20seriously, just shut up with all this 'digg is out to get us'. This isn't going to be removed for violating the TOS or some other lame reason. It was even dugg by jay adelson.
- supermanred, on 11/17/2007, -5/+21No, he is on Digg and I know his username. You would never guess it. He is a true fan of Digg.
- terminal157, on 11/17/2007, -0/+16I remember when Fark first got big, it was fun to try to predict which off-color news stories would make the mainstream rounds that day.
- cecinestpasvrai, on 11/17/2007, -1/+16He always does that. He's got a bit of a Howard Beale thing in his broadcast.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Beale - gsadamb, on 11/17/2007, -1/+16It's ironic that someone who uses the phrase "moonbat" is pointing at someone else for adhering to groupthink. Come up with that one on your own?
- notque, on 11/17/2007, -0/+13It's knomevol isn't it?
I KNEW it! - rekenner, on 11/17/2007, -2/+15Also ironic is that you're whining about someone whining about news.
- supermanred, on 11/17/2007, -4/+16This isn't surprising, a lot of mainstream news uses DIGG as a source of news, if only for those quirky stories that don't make the major news feeds. I have noticed a trend here in Toronto with the local newspapers, the Star and Sun mostly. When a story hits Digg, and I tell my friends who don't use the internets or Digg about it, its usually a day later or two days later that the story appears in the local news. I know some of the reporters/researchers at the major news outlets take notice and are most likely digg members.
Makes sense, user generated news. I have always thought Digg should morph more into a news site, with a format like that of MSNBC's with pics, articles etc formatted on the front page to look like a newspaper or news web site. Right now it looks too much like a database spewing its contents in bullet list format. I should mock up an image of what Digg should look like and submit it.
Kudos to Digg, and keep up the good work. And Kevin / Alex if you are reading this, keep in mind that the minute this site becomes a lackey to the corporate upper class puppet masters we will move to somebody else's site who doesnt give a ***** about the corporate upper class puppet masters. - wedges, on 11/17/2007, -1/+13is he supporting digg or hating on it?
- More4, on 11/17/2007, -7/+19great show on MSNBC - Keith & his guests explain the story behind the news
- simplenation, on 11/17/2007, -1/+12I wonder what his username is
- dn11, on 11/17/2007, -1/+10but it's funnier this way
- NnyCW, on 11/17/2007, -0/+9He was poking fun at the fact that on the internet, home to depths of sleeze beyond most peoples imaginations, content soley aired on Fox News disguised as a porn site was enough to get it banned.
- MetalliTooL, on 11/17/2007, -1/+10I don't get it. Why is Digg the BEST "person" in the world for censoring the website...?
- mushoo, on 11/17/2007, -1/+10Ahhh the curse of being a tin foil right wing whore!
We'll bitch and bemoan the liberal media and it's vice-like grip on pretty much everything, so much so that we poor conservative folks have been relegated to just occupy Fox News and pretty much all talk radio.
Get your points straight. Either the evil left dominates the media you so love to bitch about or it doesn't get heard like you are claiming here. - Kronos6948, on 11/17/2007, -3/+11I don't think so, because Kevin reposted the story after realizing it wasn't TOS abuse. He even placed it back on the front page.
- fender06, on 11/17/2007, -0/+8He was poking fun at the fact that on the internet, home to depths of sleeze beyond most peoples imaginations, content soley aired on Fox News disguised as a porn site was enough to get it banned (NnyCW)
- fcukbush, on 11/17/2007, -1/+9"hey diggers.we are the future of political discussion in this country"
Political discussion in the future sounds like it's going to be limited to iphones, lolcats and spoof news. - Swift2, on 11/17/2007, -0/+8Nah, he got it from Malkin on the O'Reilly crapfest.
- byrdgang, on 11/17/2007, -1/+8I have been saying the exact name thing. MSM gets its weird news from the Internet, only after the story has become old.
- inactive, on 11/17/2007, -1/+8Missed the point = you.
- inactive, on 11/17/2007, -6/+13lol
- CapeKid, on 11/17/2007, -0/+6Neither, he is pointing out the humor in removing news footage because it contained illicit content. "Best person in the world" is just a vehicle for that point.
- ruley, on 11/17/2007, -0/+6actually most morning jockeys on Clear Channel are "Strongly suggested" to read Fark
- inactive, on 11/17/2007, -0/+6Key word is city. Try asking around in rural Wyoming who people support.
- Whaines, on 11/18/2007, -0/+6His username is supermanred, isn't it?
- arTech, on 11/17/2007, -1/+7Ok Mr. 20%. 80% of America is anti-GOP right now:)
