- core29, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Please Digg this...it's a horrible example of how corrupt a "judicial" system can get.
- yer0c, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Picture of Eric and, I presume, his then girlfriend: http://www3.whdh.com/news/articles/world/BO47044/

Apparently the judge only allowed 3 of the 10 witnesses he had that could vouch for his whereabouts because "they weren't needed." Probably because they knew what they were going to do before the trial even started.
Ick. Helloooooo US Government? Let's dig the story to get some attention for this guy. - Zero123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Everybody needs to know about this. Americans get a bad rap wherever we go in the world. But this guy is getting setup.
- YnotMe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0With all the members here, I'm absolutely shocked at how little support you guys and gals have not given this story. It really needs as much press as it can get, especially after that 3rd world down there and it's "Press" pretty much held it's own trial and was partly the reason he was given 30 years. Geez a few more Diggs would be nice.
- EYEJAMMY, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0something tells me that organized crime is involved and needed a scapegoat.
- Funderbuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow, this is so wrong.
I mean, the reenactments for getting certain things on video can make me start to roll my eyes,
but I can definitely see why they needed to have it all to get this whole message across.
I can't stand the attitude against this guy in Nicaragua. They're making a hoorah out of Eric's imprisonment.
They're just using him to spit on America.
This is the kind of thing that starts some serious conflict. I guess we've gotta be sure this is about justice, and not about how people who treat us unjustly make us furious.
