- mannymix03, on 10/10/2007, -4/+120buried as inaccurate, this does not use a dollar bill to whiten your teeth
/sarcasm - wisedude, on 10/10/2007, -4/+97I just did this and now my teeth are all black.... Can someone please help me reverse it, brushing doesn't get rid of it!!!!
- opiestana, on 10/10/2007, -1/+78Swirl your toothbrush under the rim of your toilet then brush your teeth, the charcoal will come right off.
- houndeyex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+64The gypsy carnival music in the background just solidifies the factuality of this.
- Fox318, on 10/10/2007, -1/+64How did you smell your own teeth?
- KevenM, on 10/10/2007, -0/+47at what point are my gums supposed to stop bleeding?
- fhernand, on 10/10/2007, -3/+43ok, this beats doing it with cigarette ash, but still, who knows how much damage your teeth would suffer if you did this
- luke16, on 10/10/2007, -8/+47I guess he still needs to discover how to shave
- DietMountainDew, on 10/10/2007, -2/+38Pfft, charcoal, ashes, whatever.
I swish bleach in my mouth every day. - supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -3/+35Actually it isnt CHARCOAL from your BBQ. Its ACTIVATED CHARCOAL that you should be using. It polishes your teeth quite well, and is even used in many medical applications as a pill to absorb gasses in the intestinal tract, etc.
It was used as a tooth cleaner in the 40s and 50s.
Uh, cleaning your teeth with bbq charcoal is well, um it wont work.
Baking soda is a good teeth cleaner too. All these 60 dollar white strips and other solutions are basically based on baking soda which you can buy for a few dollars a box. Just buy a box of it and pour some on your wet toothbrush and go to town. - Brasky, on 10/10/2007, -2/+32What the ***** is the internet?
- mablco, on 10/10/2007, -7/+35what the ***** is a toofbrush?
- mptsxtps, on 10/10/2007, -0/+26That comment + your username completes it. Thank you.
- jester55, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26there was one that showed how to do it using cigarette ashes. i would rather use charcoal. but i would like to know if this actually works
- Academicballa, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22I wonder how many dumbass people are going to do this.
- Ignignokt01, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19Buried as ***** inaccurate for not disclosing the potential harms of using such substances.
Comment abuse, yes, but this ***** needs to be buried. Like, NOW. Before some idiot actually tries it and permanently damages their teeth. - PotoinMan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18/sarcasm, right?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20absolutely no evidence showing any gain in whiteness
I use Arm and Hammer Baking soda tooth paste which is MUCH better than normal fluoride toothpaste
Makes my teeth cleaner and smell better - arkmtech, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18@ AndrewJC: "Why would this be dangerous for your teeth?"
You're essentially taking the caustic chemical known as "Lye" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lye ) and brushing your teeth with it. Mind you, it's a weaker concentration, but you're still doing damage to your teeth.
What's more, if one does this and their teeth turn black, they must wait 1-2 hours to brush with toothpaste - any sooner, and the tooth enamel will not have a chance to re-harden, damaging the teeth even further.
So all in all, if this were actually SMART, someone would be selling it at Wal-Mart by now. - Ninjao, on 10/10/2007, -4/+20This is *****...
- orangekid13, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14maybe he has a really long nose...
- beajk002, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10He has dentures
- cowardlybunny, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10thats hardcore
- AndrewJC, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13Why would this be dangerous for your teeth? You eat charcoal when you've cooked something on a grill; and it, as well as baking soda, have known abrasive properties on teeth. My toothpaste certainly has baking soda in it...
People have been using remedies like this for years. You're not doing any damage to them at all, since the enamel is harder than the material you're rubbing on it. - Dundasbro, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9What...?
- dickeytk, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I was going to get my teeth whitened, then I decided to get a tan instead
- spudnic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Breath and teeth are the same?
Don't think you'd be saying that if someone filled your scuba tank with teeth - Urusai, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I don't see how NaHCO3 + C --> NaOH. Then again, I'm not a ***** Nobel laureate in chemistry like you.
- mobber, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5i recommend that charcoal thats already got the lighter fluid on it
- Trebis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4RIP Mitch
- lanzemurdok, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5buried because there weren't any midgets.
- SuperMoses, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6It's how someone says toothbrush without their two front teeth.
- FlapJaw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3DON'T ***** DO THIS *****
- TenebrousX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3a utensil to brush your teef wif
- artofwar420, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Point well made, this is probably I would only do once.
- sethisastud, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Actually white strips are various concentrations of carbamide or hydrogen peroxide...not baking soda. If you want a pretty effective way of whitening your teeth in a little amount of time get a 20% carbamide peroxide gel and bleaching trays and go into a tanning bed smiilng. The uv light will degrade the carbamide to hydrogen peroxide, which will then be further broken down into hydroxyl free radicals and cause the breakdown of extrinsic staining a lot faster than if it is done out of the tanning bed. I'm a dentist.
- lwilson, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Ok, I was expecting to see a hooker in the video. Buried.
- Snarfy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3The developer used for bleaching hair is basically 40% peroxide. I bleached my teeth with it once and it worked; The problem was all the soft tissues in my mouth turned white too. I just swished it around instead of specifically applying it like dentists do.
- dAbReAkA, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2i've actually heard of that baking-soda method and tried it years ago.. works quite good.. u dont even need a toothbrush.. just get your finger wet, dip it in some baking soda and brush your teeth with it..
- KayIslandDrunk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I had the same problem with a generic brand of tooth whitener, my whole mouth turned white and my gums started hurting like hell
- pivovy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Dugg you up because you had +99
- Darren07, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3This is fake... you have to be an imbecile to believe that ASH will make you teeth white.
But then again, 90% of the stuff on MetaCafe is by imbeciles for imbeciles... - AndrewJC, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2If you take steel and try to cut a diamond with it, you're going to damage the steel, not the diamond.
- ChuckNIN, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Using sulphuric acid tastes and smells bad but boy my teeth are white!
- xboxmods, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2it probably does this because it wears away at the enamel on your teeth, eventually wearing it down to the inside and reaching the root, this will die and your teeth will fall out. I wouldnt suggest it, but who am i to ruin somones fun!
- merrickx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What the ***** is wtf?
- noseeme, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Hahahaha!!! Basically, this whitens your teeth by destroying them!
Actually, don't listen to me. Everyone do this and see what happens... *evil laugh* - nabilanwar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1cmon ppl its not bbq charcoal. Its charcoal the artists sketch with. You can find it in an art store.
- snypa, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1WTF? That is such flawed logic. Just because one thing is harder than the other, doesn't mean the harder thing won't feel the abrasive properties.
- RoshanK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I actually remember my mom telling me that when she went to India, one of her local friends gave her a piece of charcoal to brush her teeth instead of a toothbrush and that it actually worked.
