- cinnix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5For those who don't know, there has been a recent start-up company whose goal it is to make a hybrid version of this vehicle using the licensed technology from Carver (Edit - and a full EV).

The VentureOne just at design stages at the moment, but I hear that this company has had massive funding, and the CEO Ian Bruce says that from an engineering point of view, the look in the concept drawing on the front page is theoretically possible. He says he will try to make it look as close to that concept as possible... but lets be honest how many concept vehicles look the same after launch.
Disclaimer, I'm just a fan. I'm not affiliated with the company in any way. - Nethid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It gets about 40 Mpg. They mention on the Carver website that in the US, it will most likely cost about "$45,000.00". Although this looks amazingly fun, I guess I will have to wait until I win the lottery. Of course, after I buy my Ariel Atom. ( http://arielatom.com/ )

Well, that's one more reason(other then 'fun') then there is for getting a corvette, viper, or other small sports coupe. - rjam710, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I kinda wanted to see them take it around the track. So no Stig, no Digg.

- MasterSharma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Thats actually something i would drive, however it would feel a bit awkward driving it in the states.
- Bohica28, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A lot of Dutch related videos up on digg today.
- Nextrix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Can't wait for these type of vehicles to come over here to North America! Just not sure if they will pass our regulations for street worthy (more likely in the US)... oh well if not, time to take a trip to Europe!
- GrayOne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Why isn't Top Gear on BBC America?
- CDHarrisUSF, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It looks like something out of the early 80s...

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Perhaps I'm the lone man out thinking: what is the point, other than amusement? And why would I spend tens of thousands of dollars on one?
- jdpmep, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I blogged about this a long time ago and even had email conversations with sales etc. Will it ever come out? who knows and if it drags on long enough even if it does come out who will care by then?
