Synthetic Substitute Teacher

pinktentacle.com — Upon returning to class after the Golden Week holidays, students at a Tokyo elementary school were delighted to find their teacher had been replaced by a robot. The talking humanoid, named “Saya,” was originally developed as a receptionist robot in 2004 but has recently begun taking on work as a substitute teacher.

If you've fallen and can't get up, Mr. Roboto will help you up. Or push down the stairs, I forget.

    Um, no ***** the kid would cry. If Freddie Krueger told me I was talking too loudly when I was in elementary school, I would have cried too. This guy Kobayashi must be confusing "good with kids" with "freaky-shut-your ass-up-or-we-will-assimilate-you scary"
