- these3remain, on 06/18/2008, -0/+8You're welcome. It's not easy to keep our eyes fixed on the mark when there is so much "stuff" going on in this world.
- shanson13, on 06/18/2008, -0/+10When we fix our sight on Christ, then our perspective changes...that mountain of a problem looming in front of us shrinks to a small speed bump when we lift our eyes to heaven and call on Him for grace and strength.
I'm writing this to myself because it's been one of those days! But God's grace abounds and If I just take my eyes off the stupid problems frustrating me...and lift my eyes UP to Him...I remember that I'm a son of God, a co-heir with Christ!! How awesome He is! Thank you Lord for adopting me into Your family! Like Paul wrote..."Rejoice! and again I say rejoice!" What JOY the Lord has for His own.
God bless you all - rightwingattila, on 06/18/2008, -1/+9Living in this cesspool called California I really needed this reminder today. Thank you my friend!
- Indyanna, on 06/19/2008, -1/+2Ain't it the truth? I understand what you're talking about (the cesspool called California), but hey, this whole world is a cesspool. The good news is that no matter what we do, as long as we follow the Lord, we're a light in this world of darkness. Even the so-called little things count. That's one of the things that gives me great joy - knowing that the Lord has chosen a sinner like me to make a difference for eternity, as long as I follow Him. Amazing.
