- MadNuke, on 10/12/2007, -13/+48The current state of the government is absolutely ridiculous.
How have we let things get to the point in which they are?
The current downfall of America's structure is absolutely tragic.
It's 2007 for crying out loud. ***** 2007 and we have faith based initiatives and culture wars.
I cannot wait until this man is the ***** out of office. - timbellomo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+25I don't think so... I mean, he's REALLY unpopular now...
Then again, the vote count ultimately doesn't matter... - barneytoe, on 10/12/2007, -9/+25the sad thing is, if an election were held tomorrow and it was Bush vs. anyone, he'll still get almost half the votes. Half of the USA is ignorant and I cannot explain it.
- spencewah, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19I wish I was that epic when I spoke.
- birch25, on 10/12/2007, -8/+20my university is next door to a somewhat "hick town" and let me tell you, there are plenty of people who still like bush and will support anyone who promotes creationism, global warming skepticism, and gay bashing. honestly, it's kind of scary.
- chopcow, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11@msipes
I'm 33.
I have an education.
I have a career.
I'm happily married.
I get "laid" plenty.
I am a loving and responsible father.
And now I'm back to tell you that none of that makes any ***** difference.
Bush is a liar, his policies have destroyed many of the freedoms that we are "supposed" to be fighting for. I can't wait for January 2009 when we have someone in office who shows some sign of intelligence. Someone who can think objectively, rather than base their decisions on their own religiously skewed world outlook. - SpeedyG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6...so how long until the Politics category of videos is added?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9Since when did everybody start
talking
like
this?? Can we knock off the quasi-haikus? Sorry for the hijack but sheesh. - xaxxon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Describe what you mean by exactly the opposite?
Do you mean intelligent and speaks the truth or do you mean a far-left-winger?
I agree that any extremist shouldn't be president - be it far left or far right. - bebopredux, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Just like the video above this (of the ocean liner n a cyclone), Bush and the Govt are trying to keep a huge ship upright during a storm. Say what you will but, has anyone seen an attack on US soil since 9/11? No. However, if a Dem gets in the WH and we have an attack you can bet your bottom dollar that Bush will be blamed. There are no easy answers people. I'm still waiting for the Liberal Dems' "plan" other than attack Bush on everything.
All of this whining about the Republicans will be a moot point when (not if) the next major attack comes. We'd best realize that this isn't going away anytime soon. If we take the Neville Chamberlain stance we will surely repeat history and the US will go down big time.
We're at war people. Olbermann's only after ratings. Period. I can only say Thank God this bickering and whining wasn't around during WWII.
Wake up people. We're caving in to the Iman's at the airport. We're caving in to Islam. If anyone else can't see that the new battlefield is the US then God help us all. We'll get what we deserve. - iSeven, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5...powerful words.
- boatboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2'_His_ 911 commission'? As in the one made up of Democrats and Republicans, the recommendations of which Bush constantly gets blasted for NOT implementing?
- imgeddylee, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8In only a few years, Bush has managed to set back America years of progress in all aspects.
I have a feeling one day my kids will ask stories about how life was during the dark period, aka the Bush years. - ThatsPopetastic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Hey, I live by statesborro. And I have to say, down here in the south, most people are republicans and extremely ignorant of our countries problems.
- offwithyourtv, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@birch25
Are you, by some chance, attending a university in Statesboro, GA? If so, then I can honestly say you're right. And I'm so glad I got the hell out of that place. - cjsedwards, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well at least you are an optimist... implying things aren't going to get worse
- Racerx52, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Even if there was an election, With the advent of the new voting machines (Of which you are forbidden to see the source code), Elections are easily, and ARE rigged.
There was a video somewhere around of a computer programmer admiting, under oath, to being the creator of such a program. And he says it WAS used in at least one election. - xobecide, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2In every facet of this illusion we are presented as life lies someone who was born before you with greater power and greater disdain for your life. They wouldn't hesitate to kill you if it weren't for the people with greater power before them. This illusion is one that drives the economy, that keeps people waking up for hard labor day after day just so they can see their children, perhaps someday, pay off student loans and rear another generation of hard-working souls; regrettably, all this is done to keep money in the pocket of the top half percent.
Fortunately, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Those in power are not invincible. They will die. There are those of us that will someday be these politicians, and perhaps in their system of rules we can thrive and build a lifestyle that benefits all races, all religions, all genders, all ages, all nationalities of people.
One day we will be able to unlock our doors and conquer the world, our world. Until then, those that have placed themselves at our doorstep, between us and peace, will conquer us. - aMammoth, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Truth. I also love how the guy that is saying that Bush is eroding the constitution, is on the party that supports the absence of guns in America, which is a constitutional right btw. And don't tell me to accept *****, cause the last thing I want to see is to guys making out of TV.
- shranko, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4I don't know about the rest of you, but to this day I never felt unsafe. I worry more about slipping in the shower. No matter how hard you try to prevent something it will probably get you from another angle. Live Free or Die!!
- Run4ny, on 10/12/2007, -6/+69/11 was an inside job.
- AMDnVidiaATi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1So powerful. So true.
- plushllama, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4@chopcow
What makes you think that the next president won't be as bad as Bush? Republicans and democrats both are invariably corrupt, save for a few odd men out. Democrats look good now because republicans look so very, very bad. That's the only reason. - nipplash, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1 by MikeKnoop on 3/23/07
"
I also with I could create news article's in which the title and description are blatant opinions.
-Mike"
Well actually what you described is called an "OP-ED" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Op-ed) and yes the Olbermann video is such a thing. While you are at it just look in the back of your local newspaper or read a political blog and you will also find more of such things. - chopcow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@ plushllama
What makes me think that we will find someone better is that, aside from Nixon, I haven't seen a president in the last 100 years who has made such poor choices when it comes to the direction of our country. I don't care if Republicans or Democrats win the next election. I just hope that who ever is elected doesn't turn a blind eye to what the people are asking. This whole "stay the course" attitude has made Bush completely stubborn to any idea that the present "course" might be the wrong one. - plushllama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Bloody right! The sane few will not be scared of terrorists or religious extremists, or even of do-gooders trying to "protect" us. Unfortunately, most people are not sane, and will be VERY scared of something, be it Al-Qaeda, Republicans, Democrats, Gays, Gay-Bashers, or what have you. Live your life. Do right by others. If people don't do right by you, then ***** 'em. It's their loss, the scared stupid tossers. If people try to steal your freedom, then ***** 'em. Die for your freedom, and live for your freedom. Don't let yourself be Good Little Citizen #301,548,316.
- nrvous250gt, on 10/12/2007, -7/+6The government is a mess right now, there's no question.
That being said, Keith Olbermann is a BLOWHARD. - bob_the_alien, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3well,first off it's not half, it's more like 15 percent, cuz a good majority of the U.S. doesn't even vote, which really might mean more like 75 percent of America is ignorant, but who's counting.
Although, I have to say at the current time, between all of the Republicans and the Democrats, I'd really have a hard time picking a person I think should run the country, I like Obama, but I'm still really not sure, if he is really going to make a good president. There are many Independent party candidates out there, I'd vote for, but like always they have really no chance of winning, way to many Republican and Democrats out there, that vote just for their candidates based on their party and nothing else, which really, also says allot about their ignorance.
So if I had to guess, I'd says a good 10 percent of America isn't ignorant, and 90 percent is. Hmm, guess I'm counting. - squarehalo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3olbermann's rants are hilarious. it isn't that i disagree with him - on the contrary, most of the time i think he is dead on. it is just that the camera switches and earnest looks come off as a little melodramatic. colbert is funny because of people like olbermann.
- DavidYeah, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Well if the vote was tomorrow, sure, it would probably not be Bush that would come out the winner.
But, give the right wing noise machine two or three months, give them one message to bang away at for a while (I'm putting my money on the "Pander Bear") and they can most certainly pull out another win for Bush. These people are amazing at a campaign, terrible at government (seeing as they don't believe in the notion of good government anyway...). - BenHanby, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I agree with most of what he says but the "epic" tone bothers me.
First, he seems to put out a lot of anxiety, and it's a little hard to watch. It's as if he feels like the secret service might reach out and smack him at any moment.
Second, he's reading from a script that I'm sure he put a lot of effort into, but it still feels like unnatural, stilted page-reading with hostile emotion heaped on top for good measure. I filter that kind of communication like a would filter Tony Snow's carefully chosen words, or a marketing message. - scotticus, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4There are a lot of conspiracy theorists here... the kind who think the buildings were detonated Fight Club style.
The sane people here, however, recognize that Bush is using 9/11 to send kids to war and to erode the constitution. - Wahoo06, on 10/12/2007, -10/+7Wow, sure are a lot of conspiracy theorists here. How foolish do you have to be to take Olbermann seriously?
- supermanKD, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4I think the problem is that videos like this are a little to hard for "stupid Americans" to understand. I live in Canada so I am not sure how relevant this is but I would imagine that the pro-war / pro-bush marketing is much stronger than the anti-war and anti-bush marketing. What if people started wearing t-shirts that said "Save the constitution" that might create awareness among the ignorant, unlike hippie peace on earth t-shirts. The truth is unclear but what is clear is the bush administration is destroying what Freedom and America stand for.
Maybe rather than complaining about bush we should all post comments on how we can help Americans better understand the truth of the matter. - ComFyKeyKeY, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2Word
- dawg109, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2Remember he said he was a uniter not a divider in 2000 LOLOL The country is most divided at this time and it is because of his lies about everything 911 WMD and next will benukes in Iran and our boys will be over there. check out this link as far as 911 is concerned http://thewebfairy.com/911/edna/index.htm
- psitech, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4Gosh supermankd, we stupid amerikins need awl the help wez can git. The American media is vastly slanted to the left. How much more "awareness" do you need? It's funny that the left screams "save the constitution", yet they are the first that want to take away the 2nd amendment. It would be lovely to have your socialism installed down here. I can't wait for government health care. It will be awesome to have the government tell me what doctor I can see and who I can't see and when I can go. You have to love that "freedom".
Thanks for your interest, but your help isn't needed. We dumb amarikeans can handle things without socialist know it alls gettin in our biznis. - 28dayslater, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2@MikeKnoop
Wow Mike, you even type with a lisp. I with I good be like Mike! - thecheatah, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Their needs to be some serious action taken against Bush. He NEEDS to be impeached.
What I am scared of is that a leader exactly opposite of him will be chosen. This will be a mistake.
What we need are people who are intelligent, who can not only speak in coherent sentences, but take the time to understand the situation before they speak and are not afraid to doubt themselves.
In America, we need to take action against idiots. We need to teach our children how and why the constitution is the way it is. Our freedom is our constitution. As long as our children understand its importance, we will guarantee the future of their freedom. - dawg109, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2the truth hurts does'nt it check out http://thewebfairy.com/911/edna/index.htm
- vizerei, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Good clip but it's been posted a few times before.
Still, I liked seeing it again. - msipes, on 10/12/2007, -13/+7You people are ***** crazy like usual. We should call this liberaldigg.com
Do this:
A. Grow up
B. Get an education
C. Get a job
D. Get laid for once
E. Have kids and learn what real responsibility is.
F. Get back to us later. - Racerx52, on 10/12/2007, -14/+5You are sadly mistaken if you think this is all new, bush-era offenses.
Olbermann makes a compelling speech, but it falls on the deaf ears of americans that don't know, care or want to care, and a naive congress to boot - MikeKnoop, on 10/12/2007, -15/+5I also with I could create news article's in which the title and description are blatant opinions.
-Mike - Belayman, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3Punctuation!!?!
