- monosyth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30just wait longer... we always copy shows from the brits.
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17What kind of moron ACTUALLY takes a bet when somebody else says "I bet I can do this"
If they're betting they can do it, they probably CAN do it. Why should I doubt them? - Sonizel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Anyone else think that was a hot bar tender?
- Otto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12They're British. Making pub bets like this is not unusual over there.
In a US bar, you simply wouldn't get any takers for the bet. We know better. - jimvwmoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Just tried it, the kitchen now smells of whiskey but i did it the 2nd time round! Great trick!
- profile14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Ever see the one where you put a hat over a shot and bet you can drink it without touching the hat. Then you put your head under the table and tap it a few times and say it's done. As soon as someone lifts the hat to check, you grab the shot and drink it.
- number9ine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7They are from various episodes of The Real Hustle ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Real_Hustle ) a British television show.
- ekleinunt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7You can find both series on bittorrent. Just look in the normal places.
- UnglueD, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"... and you can't use your mouth."
- Porkape, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Would this work with US drivers licenses?
- OpticalLiam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It doesn't spill out due to surface tension
- xWillx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I bet a drunken moron will take the bet.
- 6donkey9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4that's the only reason I checked the comments was to see if anyone else thought she was hot.
- Dingle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You can use any type of plastic card. You just have a slight gap between the card and the glasses so they can mix.
- DatoeDakari, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Does anyone have the full video of all these clips(geometry/mirror me/and this), or knows where to find it?
- totaljerkface, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1they didn't show him getting the ***** beaten out of himself either
i probably wouldn't be too into the taste of that water afterwards - geoffcybor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1if you look closely, he spilled a good deal of liquid onto the counter. He's lucky that the guy didn't give him sh!t for that. Or maybe he did, they just didn't show that part.
- coheedcollapse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, the chick did that one to a group of guys and I knew what was happening halfway through. That's one of them that I definitely wouldn't have fallen for.
- nepawoods, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's my point - he didn't. Some of the water stays in the glass it started in, and likewise some of the whiskey.
- Mac2492, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The bet was that he could make them change glasses...
- fastfood15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i wouldn't be able to spin the water cup around fast enough to prevent spilling
- shyguy01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In case anybody in the UK is missing this, it's usually on BBC3 every day or so any time from 7pm to 9pm
It seems pretty random the way they do the TV here - maybe I haven't been paying enough attention - matthistory, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Bartender is hot. Seriously, i mean yeah the whiskey trick was cool.
- tpillon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You're right, I don't see how you could end up with all the whiskey in the top glass and the water in the other... they will switch glasses until each glass is 50/50 but they won't go beyond that as far as I can tell.. I'm using Wild Turkey, maybe British whiskey is "lighter"?
- ckengel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@Nitro187:
There is a gap. The guy left about a 1/16" clearance from the front edges of the shot glasses (Proportionate to where the end of the card is)
This allowed air mixture to prevent suction as well as enough of a channel for both fluids.
Obviously there is some spillage, but I don't think that could be avoided unless you start with a little less whiskey, start with no air gap, then pull the card back slowly - DatoeDakari, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Thanks for the info.
- Nitro187, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wouldn't the top glass lose suction, and pour out of this gap? Unless there is a hole in the card, this makes no sense.... enlighten me?
- nepawoods, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1The water and whiskey are mixing in this process. He lost the bet.
- timmay, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1this show is awesome
i wish they had shows like this in america - iamdawlrs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0this is why i love digg. i saw this vid a few weeks ago and havent been around shot glasses to try it. good thing that someone else tried it and posted their experience because im too much of a loser to try it myself, thanks for doing it first guys!
- noisician, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0but he says specifically you can't use your mouth, a straw, or another glass.
- manatee, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2she's alright...i ***** her a couple of times
- dralezero, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3I was going to think maybe he would put the water in his mouth. Pour the whiskey over, then spit the water out into the other.
- Idiggg, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1In the the video, he says you cannot use an extra glass, straw or mouth.
- aminom, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0monosynth: Yea, like the new show Torchwood. X-files and Heroes so totally stole stuff from that show. *rollnose*
- Orchyre, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3The Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar was the music in the background just in case anyone wants to know.
