Are we supposed to expect that after all that time this is where we've arrived? Why can't we have intelligent, informed, and rational debate about marijuana policy? Maybe because if we did, we would realize how absurd it is that we put people in jail for something that the government can't really prove is harmful or dangerous.
As for MTV, the Dead Kennedy's had it right in the 80's.

That video even *says* it's not scientific. The representative sample was only ONE person. He could of just become more familiar with the tasks he had to accomplish the second time around (and thus did them better). He only did one joint, and he might of preformed differently if he did more. They only used one kind of pot. I'm gonna go smoke a biff - hambend, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8My experience with driving while high has been that it's almost like learning to drive all over again. The first few times I did it I was overly paranoid, overly cautious, and I'd do stupid things like forget to change up a gear because I was paying too much attention to the road in front of me. Road safety was my first and only concern. You can't say the same thing about someone driving drunk.
Over time I've become more relaxed about it, though. For someone with experience, driving is basically all subconscious, muscle-memory stuff, just like walking. Marijuana really doesn't ***** with that like alcohol does. I don't have trouble walking when I'm high, even on a crowded sidewalk. The very purpose of the commercial is unclear, but it seems to me people would only laugh at the gay part, and then the end text almost seems to endorse "safe" marijuana activity.
