- loneBoat, on 10/12/2007, -6/+39Digging because of dupe complaint.
- NinjaBoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+35digging because its Lego's with freakin lasers!
- CapeKid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14I wonder who leaked that footage of the plan for our missile defense system.
- jrizzo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+18I like this idea. From now on, everyone digg every story where there is a dupe complaint just so we don't have to listen to them.
P.S. No I am not kidding. Shut up with the dupe complaints because I haven't seen this before! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Holy coolness!
- BluKnight, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Yeah, I can see it now. No Legos permitted in airplane carry-ons.
- PUBAND, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"Mommy, Jimmy's targetting my Barbie again..."
- Sc00t, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12ditto
- sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6why wouldn't they? would you rather they just assume it was Perfectly Safe based on the use of the Lego™ brand name?
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6The only reason I called dupe on it is the other story had more content and 3 vides on the rocket firing robot where as this only has 1 video and doesn't give any details about it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7makes me want to take out my big box of legos and start building again.
the only set of toys that you can sit down for hours building something awsome. - violentvinyl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Here: http://www.techeblog.com/?p=1683&cp=all
- ChronicColonic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Now, if we can only strap this to the head of a shark...
- crash331, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Detailed pictures
http://www.formatc.somee.com/roborocket.asp - Lorian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5That would get both marked as spam.
- BigEazy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I dont know about you, but this seems like more of a breakthrough than the cure for polio.
- anonatron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Totally awesome, but it seems like the targets have to be a set distance from the launcher. I could be wrong, but I would like to see how this handles scattered targets.
- moisie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Are we sure it's actually targeting them? Surely it could just as easily be pre-programmed to fire at thos particular points in that order. Still cool either way.
- ethanpack, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5What about Tinkertoys, Erector, K'Nex, Lincoln Logs, Quadro, Imagibricks, Quadrilla Marble Runs, Rokenbok, Eitech, Eitech Beginner, Fabulous Fiddlestix, Unit Blocks, Matador, Gerbitz Bricks, and Capsela.
...oh, you said building something *awesome* - awm4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Don't let George Bush see it. He might think its a WMD.
- imightbewrong, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Cool as hell, but i doubt the laucher has any depth perception ( that would be much harder to do)
legos rock! - sLydE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1totally sweet, thank you.
- Aooogah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1More of an automated catapult than a rocket launcher...
- sLydE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1freaking wicked. Now where's my lego-based cd launcher? (Unreal Tournament 'Ripper' weapon-style)
- diggfish, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Bush already planning to attack legoland after video evidence has been release that they are testing long range missiles that could be used against the United States
- HsoKinees, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1isn't that more of a Mortar Launcher, than a Rocket Launcher ?_?
- NapoleonGold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ummm I thought this came up a couple of days ago?
but what the hell still cool as *****. - martypal2005, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is incredible. Now hook it up with the ak.
- wurzelgummage, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Definitely, seeing as this actually works.. unlike that balsa wood and duct tape Iraqi "drone" they tried to pass off as "evidence".
- mapkinase, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Note to myself:
Avoid Lego in airport baggage to prevent terrorist scare. - jabowa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it's actually just using a laser sensor that detects a reflection, like a laser trip wire. But in this case, it triggers when it finds a reflection, instead of the other way around when you break the reflection.
- PUBAND, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Airport security: "I'm sorry sir, but you cannot bring lasers, servo motors, and the "build a targetting laser lego kit" as carry-on items."
- dontasker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1now they just need to add some nitro into the mix : )
- Xinareiaz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Woohoo! it was here yesterday!
I guess if still people havent seen it....
But seriously, whoever submitted this must have just chosen to ignore the fact that it was on the front page like 18 hours previous. - drunkyoda1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3That thing is awesome
- johnasp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is every kids dream, you know, build them up and shoot them down.
- trustrsx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The 5th shot takes out the camera.
- videoCT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0actually, 2 days before this video was shot a team of mini-fig commandos parachuted onto that very dining room table and setup tiny laser beacons in front of each target.
- RodeoRobot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Aww I thought the LEGO missile actually tracked a laser-designated target. Instead it's just using a laser pointer as a sighting mechanism.
:( - ElectronFarmer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1OK first off it is Laser Targeting, not Laser Guided, and they are projectiles not "rockets",
Inaccurate and a DUP - crossers, on 07/16/2008, -0/+0All this is awesome! I digg it!

http://www.chasr.org/ - mapkinase, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I wonder what are those dupe complaints reflecting more - the stubborness of diggers, the sheer volume amount of noobs or the "whininess" multiplied by the growing difficulties of getting on the front page...
- drpeppper, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2wow i want my bandwidth back.
- Vuru, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2that us really funny., i just wish that it was shot a little closer so we can see that is really made out of legos
- caseycoold, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4TERRORIST ACTIVITIES!
The NSA is coming! The NSA is coming!
$50 says some goverment agency has already looked into the "threat" of this. - OpticalLiam, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6I hate the dupe police as much as the next guy, but this was on the frontpage only yesterday. Still cool though.
- bhowell, on 10/12/2007, -16/+6So if I want to get a story to the front page, I should submit it twice and complain of a dupe on one of them?
- UncommonSense, on 10/12/2007, -23/+5It's sad that I can see President Bush playing with a laser-guided Lego rocket launcher and thinking to himself, "We MUST get these things in the hands of every one of our soldiers."
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -56/+9Dupe this one is on the front page. http://digg.com/gadgets/Build_your_very_own_robotic_rocket_launcher_out_of_legos
