- inactive, on 06/17/2009, -0/+45Asking for advice on the internet usually turns out well.
- Junkyarddawg, on 06/17/2009, -0/+24Why do I get the impression this is a site to harvest user information to sell to PR companies?
- asgardshill, on 06/17/2009, -0/+13Sounds like the Web 2.0 version of Magic 8 Ball.
- windigo, on 06/17/2009, -0/+12Isn't allowing machines to make human decisions how Judgement Day happened?
- badave, on 06/17/2009, -1/+9Hunch seems to take a lot more time to arrive at a decision for me than I take making a decision for me.
- johnsmith555, on 06/17/2009, -0/+7I couldn't make the decision of of signing up.
- Junkyarddawg, on 06/17/2009, -0/+7Yep. The information you give them "to let them know you" is solid advertising gold.
- JCPahl, on 06/17/2009, -0/+6I can't think of anything that could go wrong with this.
- teemingvoid, on 06/17/2009, -0/+6well.. they could make a killing in advertising if they know exactly what hobbies and stuff you have..
- dazparkour, on 06/17/2009, -0/+4From the article: "So it's things like, "What HD-TV should I buy?" or "Where should I go to college?" or, you know, "Where should I eat in San Diego on a Saturday night?"
From the Hunch Privacy Policy: "We may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information such as [..] how many users choose to buy a recommended item."
I have no idea where you got that impression. I get the impression companies add their products to the site and questions that don't produce sales are ancillary and are only there to pass the time between questions to which the answer is retail therapy.
Yes - unless college and restaurants are free - that's retail therapy too. - dazparkour, on 06/17/2009, -0/+3Well, I added you as a friend - you could continue your preschool tirade, or invalidate my joke by returning the gesture.
Your move. - wilfordsy, on 06/17/2009, -0/+3Did you try asking hunch for help?
- macfan93, on 06/17/2009, -0/+3I have been in the beta for awhile and I can safely say that this website is one of the most useless tools on the internet. You are essentially asking internet users for advice. Imagine going to /b/ to figure out what the best newspaper for you would be.
- teemingvoid, on 06/17/2009, -0/+2i already signed the exclusivity of my decision making to google a long time ago
- dazparkour, on 06/17/2009, -0/+2You only have 1 friend and 6 comments in a year and a half - two of them here!
Judging by your one friend - I suggest you masturbate to this: http://tinyurl.com/fapittyfap - jemka, on 06/17/2009, -3/+5Hunch: Because you're not smart enough.
- StoopidPirate, on 06/17/2009, -3/+5The only decision i need help with is what to masturbate to next.

- WiseWeasel, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1You slander the Magic 8 Ball with that statement. At least the Magic 8 Ball isn't simply trying to sell you *****. Hunch is just a scam to exploit idiots for profit, like religion.
- immatellyouwhat, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1cool hurry!
- boredco, on 06/17/2009, -0/+1Anybody read The Diceman?
- WiseWeasel, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1Or just ask some random person on Digg or out on the street. You'll surely get a more insightful answer that at least has a chance of not being commercially driven.
- Metasquares, on 06/17/2009, -0/+1Interesting idea, though it looks like a solution waiting for a problem. It is somewhat notable because it makes use of decision trees and because websites that use machine learning are becoming increasingly prevalent on the web. But that's about it.
- wigz, on 06/17/2009, -0/+1Who needs this website? Just join a church, religion provides the same service.
- WiseWeasel, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1If we all used hunch, kill me now. I just couldn't muster the courage to face such a sad world.
- EtherGnat, on 06/17/2009, -0/+1Sources say yes.
- Claw787, on 06/17/2009, -1/+2rand(optionCount);
- scarz99, on 06/17/2009, -1/+1I've tested it out for awhile now. Pretty interesting concept and most of the applications for it work good. I just couldn't see myself using it so much because I can make up my mind most of the time.
- Azsen, on 06/17/2009, -0/+0What are the website links please?
- Kidsturk, on 06/17/2009, -1/+1Glad to see this up and running. Good luck to the makers.
- chompapotamus, on 06/17/2009, -1/+1check out the beer one, http://www.hunch.com/microbrewery-and-internationa ...
- Gloony, on 06/17/2009, -2/+1I did about 2 months ago, my concept's a bit different and it's still a long way from being released... I was gutted when I saw hunch come out a couple of months ago but good on them and nice execution.
Hopefully I'll actually get an alpha out there at some point! - deathfix, on 06/17/2009, -2/+1So far so good. I let Hunch decide which cult film I should watch last night, and it suggested Donnie Darko. It wasn't a bad choice.
- TheHungerArtist, on 06/17/2009, -2/+1Hunch is she over 18?
A. Yeah totally don't ask though, you'll ruin your cool attitude
B. Just make sure there's no video
C. GTFO don't look don't touch GTFO
D. If there's grass on the field... ah ***** officer i didn't know come on man with the way she dresses fuuuuck - StoopidPirate, on 06/17/2009, -2/+0you can suck on my fat, friendless nut sack.
douchebag - StoopidPirate, on 06/17/2009, -3/+1It seems that hunch wont help me with this one :(
curses, now i have blue balls - Fleagleman, on 06/17/2009, -3/+1I think if we all used Hunch, about 95% of us would find that we really shouldn't be on Digg right now.
- elmundio87, on 06/17/2009, -2/+0blue balls don't exist
- immatellyouwhat, on 06/17/2009, -7/+3There's another "Why the hell didn't I think of that" ideas.

What is Digg?
