How We Are Manipulated (+PICS)

chemistryland.com — From individuals to countries, we often want to persuade others to perceive things a certain way or to think a certain way. There are many standard techniques for doing this. Below are some of them. You can use these techniques to do your own persuading, and you can also use this knowledge to keep yourself from being fooled.

It doesn't let users submit mirrors, but it automatically puts links for DuggMirror, Coral Cache, DuggBack, and Archive.org just below the digg button at the top of the page. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/7585

If you want to see this in action watch some of the extras for lord of the rings. If you were to move the camera just a few inches from where it's at the effect would no longer work.

So i went there the other day to check it out cause i've never actually been to the site, and this was the first article on the page. Reminds me of how the only content on social news sites to begin with, has always been content that has been posted elsewhere.
