- an7agonist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+33Interesting stuff... But where's the chick with no bra? :'(
- dheaddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31"Pussy loves that Madeley!"
- bigtomrodney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Well when there's chicks with no bras it's often a premature submission. *cough*
- charlesdavisIII, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15dugg for the old school final cut pro
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Yes, Mr American, that guy is _so_ hard to understand. Why don't you venture outside of your country once in a while?
- leontes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12It is in reference to the British Big Brother, which does have one day turn arounds, with weekly shows hosted by Davina McCall. Yanks have to make do with no daily reality tv show, as the American version became survivorized and cut down to three days a week. The fake reality tv show featured in the clip was designed in obvious reference to the british version, down to the bass heavily accented narrator voice. The shows are actually rather worth watching, should you find a torrent and wish to learn more about contemporary british television culture.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10so that's why i don't watch reality TV
- starguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Gentlemen, I have bad news. Our comments are surrounded by HTML markup code!
- Anteros, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Screenwipe is brilliant, very funny show, there are links to the full episodes as well on the right.
- Wonkanobi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"Reality has a well known liberal bias"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I guess the only thing worse than MTV is improper use of "their, there or they're", huh?
- joeydoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Her name is "Aisleyne" she has a bit of a gormless looking face, if I'm going to be picky, but the rest of her is alright.
http://www.skins.be/model/aisleyne-horgan-wallace/ - pixelbasic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6The art that is British expletives...now that's something I would like the US to import.
- joeydoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Well I didn't lie, she does have a see through dress on and no bra. Blame youtube that you can't see much.
The thing is that I wanted people to watch the video, because it's interesting, funny and from a great show.
"Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe".... Therefore I put that line in, half in jest, half because I knew it would attract attention. Frankly without those 6 little words this submission would have probably sank to the bottom of digg's endless upcoming list, or at least Not.. get to be the number one video.
The title also has something to do with people watching the video as well.... "how something works" would always draw my eye to a video and the word "trick" refers to reality TV negatively.... people love to hate reality TV.
The no bra thing also made sure people watched it to the end. I suspect people close a youtube video after 10 seconds most of the time, they get the idea and move on. The prospect of seeing boobs makes them stay till the end.... which I wanted them to do for the last line. "Pussy loves that Madeley!"
Did I pander to boob lovers? ***** yeah...... because that's why I would have watched the video. There is a lot to "digg" through on digg. You have to get attention in some way or another. - quoquo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4eek!!! look at assleyne's at 2:53!
- JJayUK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Charlie Brooker's fantastic. He started with a website called TvGoHome.com (it's still there, but hasn't been updated since 2003 - archive is available though) which lambasted television by mocking up a tv listings magazine. 'Mick Hucknell's Pink Pancakes' being one of my favorites. A book soon followed.
It got a brief sketch series on Channel 4 (I think) but didn't really go anywhere. He then co-wrote 'Nathan Barley' with Chris Morris (he of Brass Eye fame) which I personally thought was a great show. it was based on a TVGoHome.com spoof-show called '*****, with Nathan Barley'.
The problem was it poked fun at the very audience and critics it was trying to appeal to so only one series was made. - trenskow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Actually, I don't think that Ashley is wearing a bra, so with a bit of imagination...... I'm off
- sandofsky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They left out the most important part: hire ringers.
I have a friend whose sister was on Fear Factor. She's a professional model. She and the other contestants were asked by the producers to make up their backgrounds. One of them became a "Personal Trainer."
I have tons of friends who are cast in reality TV shows because they are professional actors with a background in improv comedy. One friend, with whom I went through classes, won a major show. - nofxjunkee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3My friend's mom is convinced that reality shows are actually real. *sigh* I'd show her this video but it wouldn't change her opinion. What's even worse is that she believes in spirits and even thinks that show where people go to dark houses and talk to the dead is real (I have no idea what it's called).
Reality is just as sad as the reality shows. - magic6435, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What! TV wouldn't lie to us!
- widebhoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is a cool proprogram, I've seen it twice now cause it was on last night, really interesting stuff in it, the hot blond is a girl called Aisleyne Horgan Wallace.
- ForesterTheGeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Didn't your mother ever tell you "Don't believe everything you see on TV." This just goes to prove that point and shows that reality TV really isn't real.
- felixoza, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2not common between the people that watch reality shows, i think
makes me feel so uncommon .. so special :) - shotmenot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What the hell is in the middle of the computer screen at 1:09? looks like an ass to me
- pollyannaj, on 06/15/2008, -0/+0it's sad that people don't realize that "reality tv" is totally fake, scripted. 100% they reshoot stuff all the time.but truth be told, I'd much rather stay home and watch all the good faux reality that's on tv. seriously. it makes for some fine entertainment. i'm a fan of the nbc lineup this season. america's got talent is back on. i feel so lame talking about on here but i love it. i spout about it everywhere. june 17th baby. i'm so there. and 2 hrs too.
- tokyopimp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Is their anything worse than MTV? That's what this reminded me of, how awful MTV is, it's the most awful ***** cable station ever. I can't stand MTV so much I actually V-Chip blocked myself from ever seeing it.

- coolmuffin121, on 10/12/2007, -1/+02:35 and 2:47
- Helois, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Already heard it somehwere.
- Keropipi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I believe they are talking about the hot blonde.
Anyone know her name ? - headband, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Whats red and invisible?
No tomatos - SleeStaK911, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0OK, so... 2 Trolls with a side of...?
- DarkMeld, on 10/12/2007, -10/+11 day turnaround for Real World?
Really?
Then whats with this BS of one new episode per week!! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -14/+1".. plus a chick with no Bra....."
is it impossible to have a mature submission? - vemerge, on 10/12/2007, -18/+4Uhm, this is news? In all honesty it was a cool way to show us their devious tricks, but... this isn't common knowledge?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -17/+2The question that you bring up is: Who the ***** would want to "learn more about contemporary british television culture"?
We get enough ***** reality TV over here, I mean, the average american TV viewer will watch anything "reality show" the fact that Big Brother failed as miserably as it did should tell you something. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -26/+2Wow, that guy has hair right out of 1997!
And was I the only person that didn't understand half of what they said? Their words kinda jumble together creating a kind of.. super mecha phrase.

What is Digg?
