This original webpage from where the story is has reccomended a very good free scholarship search service. I got a scholarship and I never thought I would. Applying only takes a few minutes and it's exciting to do.
Government loans are good direct student loans and have forgiving payment terms. There are others out there that are good too and you just have to search around. If you presently have a default against the government now on a debt owed you must first pay it off before they will give you a student loan!!!
