He is your asset and your valuable investment. Congratulations to you and your son! Thanks for sharing your story!

- flatbelly, on 07/04/2008, -0/+0My son attended FUMA for 2 years, and though it was tough for him being away from home, the time spent at FUMA has helped to further aid him in becoming the young man that God would have him to be. My son excelled academically and received a full 4 year athletic scholarship to college while attending FUMA. God has a great plan for my son, and FUMA was another stepping stone in God's plan. The Guidance Department, especially Maj. DeVault, were particularly great in assisting my son with his development. Thank God for how He (God) brought my son through, and thank the staff at FUMA for allowing God to use you to be a positive inspiration to my son. A special thanks to LTC Billingsley, you were a great help to my son. Thanks FUMA. Bless God for you and your ministry of helping young men to be all that God would have them to be!
- flatbelly, on 08/09/2008, -0/+0That is so wonderful! What year are your sons in at FUMA?
- inactive, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0As a single mom, with 2 young men who only saw their dad once a year because he lived on the opposite side of the USA, FUMA was the best thing that ever happened to them. Once they visited the school they asked to go. Great male role models, great discipline learned, great study habits learned that they still use today in college, grad school, and at work. Great motivation and inspiration, great physical activities to help balance the body. FUMA and the other boys we carpooled with for weekend leave, are still "family" to us! FUMA was such a big help to me and my boys! They would not be where they are today without FUMA. I thank EVERYONE on campus for all they do! Your great! God Bless you all! Go FUMA!
- Shuffjr, on 07/06/2008, -0/+0I graduated from FUMA, class of '70. I can honestly say that I am so very grateful that I did attend FUMA! That was a tough decision for my parents but the best decision that they ever made for me. I think of the school often and have many great memories of the staff, Col. Robert L. Pulliam, Col. Gus Lacey, Fletcher Arrington and so many more of the fantastic teachers and leaders of young men. I am very thankful that there was and is a Fork Union Military Academy, a place that can be a true Godsend for some young men! Many cadets during my time there have been members of the staff, Bobby Cobb and Roger Rothwell, most notably...they did a great job respresenting the school and deserve a great deal of thanks from all who know them and of their work!
- flatbelly, on 08/09/2008, -0/+0I appreciate your positive response! More parents should invest in sending their sons to FUMA. It is a wonderful opportunity.
- hogsrule, on 07/07/2008, -0/+0I attended FUMA from 1959 thru 1962. One of the most rewarding times of my life. FUMA faculty and staff keep up the good work. I really enjoyed the NFL film on the FUMA grads in the NFL.
God Bless and go FUMA - Callaway12505, on 07/06/2008, -0/+0This note on 07/05/2008 was addressed to flatbelly! My apologies.
- Callaway12505, on 07/06/2008, -0/+0Hello FUMAmomx2,
Thanks for sharing your story. Academic success does require personal disciplines and sacrifices, great academic and supportive learning environment, consistent and persistent support from family, friends and school administrators. Congratulations to you, your sons and to Fork Union Military Academy faculty and staff and its leadership team. Fork Union Military Academy, based on your story, seems to be the excellent school choice for young men who may need a rounded balance between academic and social environment!. Dr. C. - markpr, on 07/04/2008, -0/+0Go Fork Union... Go!
