1. It made it on the home page yesterday, but there was no video.
2. That was the cheesiest news reporter ever, "Voice "Recognition""
3. That news ancor was a Mac User.
4. If that happened at an Apple keynote, 7 engineers would be fired, then decapitated, then all of there family members would be shot by Steve Jobs pesonally. - goat77, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12This was on the frontpage YESTERDAY! GAAA!
- CornStarch, on 10/12/2007, -11/+17There's no video.
- shikaga, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Are you kidding me? Name one program for image manipulation better than Microsoft Paint.
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6because M$ hasn't bought and re-branded them yet
- earthtoandy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I love how the reporters was throwing jabs at micosoft... hilarious.
"And you wonder why Vista has been delayed so many times!" ZING!
Lets give it that good old computer speech treatment. The New Vista ad campaign... http://homepage.mac.com/earthtoandy/.Music/vistaspeech.mp3 - arduenn, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7MS has an excellent track record of demo goof-ups. This is just another of those monumental moments. Priceless!
- trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3or the new my base are belong to us?
- kaytrio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"And you were wondering why Vista keeps getting delayed?" Haha, oh, so the delay is due to (the lack of) voice recognition!
- The2ndAct, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5What the hell is with that "ouch"? Seriously the funniest part of that video was that zoom out from the reporter's mouth. That guy should be illegal.
- TaeBoX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Not everyone has time to read digg every single day.
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Why did CornStarch get dugg down? He's right, there isn't a video on that page.
- ZigZags, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The chief programmer of Microsoft Voice Recognition is the same guy that programmed the "english" in Zero Wing.
- earthtoandy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2To be fair, no one can make it work. But everyone else is lightyears ahead of "Dear aunt, let's set so double the killer delete select all."
- pynej, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You know wat is sad is Voice Recognition software has been around for years and years and microsoft still can't make it work.
- EmileVictor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I agree, although it's a tad harder to remember.
- AssultMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Dugg because this was a link to THE VIDEO.
Duplicate-whiners... - SoundScape, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Because the companies producing these 'third party products' can focus their business around the product. Microsoft has dozens of apps, suites and not to mention OS's to develop and support. It's unrealistic to expect a company that spreads itself that thin to be the best at any one thing.
- Sechy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Just like Microsoft.
- sparkp08, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1the anchor was the best at the end, totaly egging on microsoft
- Atreiu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1There is a video in the comments by seanm....scroll down...
- leenuss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://dearaunt.*****.net
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1shut the ***** up biotch kekeke
- ShrimpCrackers, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Woah, I'm going to stick with Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 then... why are most third party products almost always better than their Microsoft counterparts?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1umm so what if the original article didnt have the video? just scroll down and find the video in the first article >_>
- cambrown99, on 10/12/2007, -7/+6"Dear aunt, let's set so double the killer delete select all" should become Vista's advertising slogan.
- Molnies, on 10/12/2007, -14/+11Already made it to the front page... http://digg.com/tech_news/When_good_demos_go_very_very_bad
- meihan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1But did it have a video?
- CamZak, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Old, but it's worth humiliating microsoft a second time around.
