- nejlepsi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29If you use two aluminum foils instead of just one it will work even better!!!

Thanks, Infinite Solutions! - shertzerj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Thank god, I finally have a use now for that salad bowl I'm always lugging around everywhere.
- eaasness, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13You sir are not a true Road Warrior!
- smoothmedia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11This guy might just be the funniest thing on youtube right now. Comedic genious.
- cantankerous, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10OMG, after the second day my implementing this trick, my poor dog is walking about with a huge lump on the side of his head!
- mindsnare, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10NO, REALLY?
- NIL8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I took this to the next step and wrapped an Ethernet cable around my DirectTV dish and now I get 1,000 SSIDs with a power level of 6!
- BladeMelbourne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7He doesn't have any. Nor does he have a gf. Let the punching resume anyway ;-)
- MadNuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"Now suspend the cell phone in the bowl..."
*Awkward taping*
"Resemble anything?"
*cocky smile*
"That's right, you've made a satellite dish...of sorts"
* ;-) *
I laughed incredibly hard at that segment. - philo23, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7can some one people explain to me how wrapping your phone in ethernet cables turned it into a wifi card please? I'm not sure if it was just me, but he didnt plug it into the phone right?
- 4850lu73, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12shorely you mean sure?
- ragonamuffin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5your headlight fluid is low.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Yeah, that's probably the funniest hairdo I've seen in a while
- Goosemaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5not really.
It's rather sad really, knowing that so many people will be wrapping up their phones - vhold, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5So I got an old 8-port non-switched ethernet hub, then hooked it up to both ethernet ports on my computer, then borrowed friends' cellphones and wrapped them up in cable and put one in the middle of each wall, one in the middle of the ceiling and one on the middle of the floor. I nearly quintupled the number of available SSIDs. I think my cable internet got a little faster too, but I'm not sure yet.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3A couple of questions
1. Why would you cell phone be a better signal reciever than your wireless card?
2. The cell phone wouldn't be repeating the signal to your ethernet wire, it would just be receiving the signal and ignoring it. Right?
3. The cell phone certainly wouldn't increase the signal going back to the router.
4. Even if there is a strong signal along you etherenet wire. How does plugging it in to the ethernet port do you any good? The ethernet board and the wireless card are two seperate things.
Can someone explain. I'm so confused. - np374, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I knew something was up when they were using the classic cheesy 80s educational music intro.
- ChronicColonic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The extra ethernet cable is great to have. Not only does it help when there is an ethernet port and no wireless, but it also comes in handy for those pesky dates that try to escape...
- sparkrainfir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i love the commenters that are like "OMFG iz this for realz?!?!?"
- muffinmanpoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nope, just you. :P
- MadNuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The best comment on the YouTube video..
"didn't work for me"
Poor soul must need to update his cellphone firmware. - KMye, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3This one seems to be bunkified even before this hit the front page. Hopefully, they'll make it more widely available soon.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Why do I feel the sudden urge to punch this guy in balls?
- naz37, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2it works via magnetic fields...
- Natastic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It's called Infinite Solutions because it takes an infinite number of tries to make it work.
- 350Zed, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Do you mean the hidden Google TV link that doesn't exist anymore? :P
- brianrlawson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I must have missed the whole GoogleTV thing when it swept through, so I have to admit...I watched this thing and thought, "Huh, I don't get how or why it works, but that is pretty cool." Well done, very funny.
- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It works better if you wear the foil on your head.
That technobabble at the beginning was smooth. - muffinmanpoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I have 25 in the back of my car...
- thedazman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It doesn't.
- biggrz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1aw man he did it! Yes. Well, no, but yes. But no.
- Natastic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you look at his other video, the "Emergency" addition of Infinite Solutions regarding the Google TV product, you will see the cell phone and Ethernet cord casually lying on his desk in that edition
- jay42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, since they're obviously watching this right now.
- Misanthrope, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Oh this is funny. A guy I work with just came over to tell me about this awesome way to boost your wireless signal. I'm listening to him thinking "there's no way that could work"...and well...clearly.
I just had to break the news to him that it was fake. I think he may be crying right now.
If you're reading this, Jeremy: You're dumb ;) - Kurtz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1has this guy been watching the fast show? http://briggsiesblog.typepad.com/briggsies_blog/2007/01/open_university.html#more
- scooter12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah "genious"
- spankaccount, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow this works great. I wear my salad bowl on my head.
