- inactive, on 05/10/2009, -2/+20Your tax dollars hard at work. What deranged educator thinks up this stuff?
- le0pardess, on 05/10/2009, -2/+14Have to keep the bogeyman in a cave and their mighty power to whiz across the Atlantic firmly embedded in their young impressionable minds so they don't forget to stay in fear.
Wonder how many parents alerted the DHS gestapo of her extreme teaching method? - QiJiGuang, on 05/10/2009, -2/+12This is surreal.
- BillE3, on 05/10/2009, -2/+11Is this a Monty Python skit??
- commentposted, on 05/10/2009, -2/+7Yeah, my question is, "Why?"
- pookydirt, on 05/11/2009, -1/+6And why isn't this teacher being "expelled"?
- mollydog12, on 05/12/2009, -0/+3during the last presidential election many teachers at my daughters school proudly wore their obama butttons in class. someone complained, they were instructed by the administration not to wear the buttons. the teachers union sued, the teachers continued to wear the buttons and as far as i know no one was diciplined and the case has yet to be decided. or perhaps it was dropped after the election.
my daughter did a paper on the black panther party. in it she described how the evil fbi infiltrated the group and violated their constitutional rights. i wish i could quote it here because her indictment of the white power structure was passionate. her story board to go along with her essay was bordered with leopard skin print. she got an A.
i'm glad, at nine, she knows how to put a condom on a banana. i thought my tax dollars were being wasted.
oh yeah, i forgot to mention she goes to what is considered one of the top school, noted for their educational excellence. i've considered home schooling but just don't see how i can. - tonicboy, on 05/11/2009, -0/+2I actually don't see the issue with the assignment. The first step in countering a threat is to understand it, and the best way to understand it is to try to put yourself in your opponent's shoes. I guarantee you, there are teams of FBI and CIA agents assigned to dreaming up potential terror tactics.
That being said, the teacher in question must have been a total moron not to see the inherent PR issues that this would carry, as well as the potential for abuse if any effective schemes were leaked.
