I guess TWiT got Kevin hooked on podcasting. - markbaltes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very cool.

- Maagic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No FuFu?
- apok, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is cool, but Alex was never a TechTV host, he was a G4TechTV host.
- blhack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hopefully it comes out as regularly as systm!!!!!!
/just sayin
//somebody was gonna say it anyway - Luthor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Alex and Kevin back together again...I've been waiting for this...and hey maybe Alex will actually update his blog now...yeah...wishful thinking...
- Billdozer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is it just me, or does this seem relatively redundant? I mean, I check this website every single day. It's set as my homepage. It's kind of like listening to a book on tape that you've already read...
- rousehouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool; that will be great. I'll chip in some bucks if they want donations to help defray the costs.
Question - Will Kevin still be doing TWiT? He's been MIA for two weeks. - danielson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I'm sure it will be as regular as systm and thebroken....
- jarmanishere, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0awesome
- Goat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2oh jesus ***** christ
- donKey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Now THAT is going to be great! I had a feeling this was coming.
@donKey
Pet meh-donKey! http://www.ipdonkey.com - darksydx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yo how many projects is Kevin doing? First Broken(gone), Systm.org(downloading winXP at 5kbps would be faster than New SYSTEM releases), TWIT (Leo will be pissed that Kevin is now in competition with TWIT), and now DIGG podcast.
I hope he get's his priorites in order and be able to fullfill what people want. - canyonblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0is Kevin no longer going to be doing TWIT? it seems like TWIT and a digg podcast will tread on similar ground, the top tech stories of the week. i hope personally that no matter what TWIT survives because that has the star firepower behind it (which includes kevin) and kevin and alex alone are while good, not the same as that ensemble.
- nugge7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Heck yah! I always had a soft spot for Alex. lol
- scorwitz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Oh...great...Alex... yippee.
- Mashko1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Looking forward to anything from anyone that worked on TSS. Can't wait for more tech content.
http://dmashko.typepad.com - danlin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0every tech podcast is gonna be the same. most of them get tech news from the same sources anyways. this being an official digg podcast is just leveraging the brand digg has built in this community...
- audible, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i was just thinking of this, twit now has competition for being #1.
- DCJoeDog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0instead, kevin should go BACK to TWiT and invite Alex over there as well.
- jbauer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hells ***** yes! the return of alex!!!
- canyonblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no way twit has competition for #1. the beauty of twit is the quality and breadth of the people who contribute. leo and pat are the best on air personalities in tech and with the guys from techtv who were experts on HDTV etc. and Yoshi etc. they have A-list folks who are all knowledgable in many areas. while KEVIN IS GREAT and I LOVE HIM ON TWIT, there is no way him and Alex alone can make as entertaining and knowledgable a podcast the tech industry as TWIT can leveraging so many talents.
- Superfluous, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0AMERIC..... PODCAST, ***** YEAH!
- ellingswin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0are you gonna put it on iTunes
- Hardcore41, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I doubt it will last. Look how often we new episodes of Systm. They are only 10 minutes long and we have only gotten 2 in 2 months.
- Zdax, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Looks like you were wrong. :D
- dubya, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1When I first saw this, I wondered how Kevin Rose could possibly have the time to do all of these tech shows, but then I remembered how he got fired from G4 and all, so I guess he has a lot of time on his hands. Needless to say, I'm really excited about hear from Alex again, although I'm getting a little tired of seeing Kevin Rose everywhere I look. Speaking of which, who is Kevin Rose.
- c0dek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0All we know for sure, as evidenced by the previous comments, is that no matter what - someone will whine about it.
- canyonblue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0you got that right. but here is my whine...
in the last 3 years we have seen every bastion of quality tech programming torn apart with the distruction of TechTV and G4TechTV. TWIT has been a bright light, and part of the reason was Kevin Rose. it would be ashame if all the players in TWIT didn't realize their newfound success is due to the fact the sum of the parts is greater than the individual. - Singe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't see the point of a Digg podcast. Most of the people that would listen to that would be the ones that already know about it.
- datter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Singe has a good point there.
- DiZASTiX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0LMAO @ Superfluous
I looks forward to listening to it, awesome that so many people are getting into this.
And please put it on iTunes :) - musicbear, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Anything Kevin wants to do is cool...especially if it means bringing another Screensaver host back on the air...
I don't think Kevin ever stated a set schedule for Systm releases and it's not like you're PAYING for them... so when he gets them done... that's cool too.
If Kevin and Foo are going back to SF then what they should think about is bringing the digg podcast, the systm, the broken and TWiT all together under one umbrella as a weekly show - podcast and videocast.
Though there is the free part to all this. Free only allows them to work so quickly. How long will "out of the goodness of their hearts" last... hMMn?
Enjoy it while you can. - Goat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1talk about overexposure
- elamr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Alex Albrecht is an incredible broadcasting personality. It amazes me that the "suits" at G4TV were to blind to recognize this guys talent. I thought they'd at least give him a job at XPlay to take that one annoying dude spot along side Morgan Webb's breasts. The Rose and Albrecht combination REALLY made a connection with the core fans of the Screen Savers. Given about a couple of years of air time I'm certain that these two would have created a following to rival Star Trek. Leo Laporte was the only other TechTV personality to have that kind of magnetism.
A digg podcast will be incredible with these two tech powerhouses hosting. It is certain to be hilarious and VERY fulfilling just like the last episodes of the Screen Savers (the last REAL episodes of the Screen Savers.. Before the Corporate thunder whores molded a show around a larger DUMBER audience). - Hybrid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ever think about this? It reaches out to the tech audience on all levels, the Videos, for the hardcore people that want the all in details etc. Then you have the podcast, for the people that are more, the moderate tech user, knows more than average, but doesnt want to go hardcore. You have the time to think about, 3 hours downloading video that comes out once every other month, or 10 minutes for a 30 minute audio show that does the same thing?
Basicly radio vs. tv. TV shows it, but you can get the same entertainment from audio, just a little harder to understand, either way, it's kickass...
I dont understand anything I said, I dought you will either xD - elamr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Imagine a story/website the YOU broke being featured on the digg podcast or even better a story/website you created.
- dtang, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hmm.. I can go both ways with this, but I already own a digg.com podcast, talking about the stories that are on digg. Although we have stopped for a good number of weeks, it is still in production. The domains we use are diggcast.com/.net/.org and having this idea and jumping on it first, bascially this idea belongs to me, I am willing to hand over the domains over to you. We can negociate this via email, please contact me at danieldynasty at gmail.com. Thank you
- Dafish, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Belongs to you, I was the one who started it first, you just bought the domain. Besides mine was nothing compared to kevin and alex actually. And don't even think about trying to sell off those domains to kevin.
- motionblur, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2No offense to Alex, but the man just isn't cut out for media broadcasting.
- stickyboot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I cant freakin wait
- scotty6969, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that would be pretty cool, i didn't like alex at first but hes a pretty funny guy
- maxdefcon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0i dont understand why you guys critique what is done here or at systm. if you guys can do better, where is your podcast or show at? the content will be released when it is released. that is the whole point of subscribing to a rss feed, it will let you know when the new content is available.
- bryantee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Alex took a hammer to a powermac on live TV.... I could care less about this guy.
