- My financial aid cut
- Our classroom size raised
- Our staff cut
- My options of classes grow significantly smaller
- Yet, I have seen my fees per year rise by about $4,000 on top of the already outrageous cost.
What is going to be done to fix the University System? It costs us a lot of money to go to school, and I expect a semi-decent service in return. In what way is it fair that we pay MORE when our services are being CUT?
You have recently suggested creating "open source digital textbooks" for high school math and science classes to reduce education costs for the state (source: http://bit.ly/39ZX80).
How will this program work? Will the textbooks be under a copyleft license (ex. creative commons)? And will this ever extend to all courses or into the college system?
what is your stance on illegal immigration? what do you think California and other states have to do to reduce the amount of illegals crossing the border? and finally, what is the best solution for the current illegals in the state and country?
thanks for answering my questions
-Nate
I know that you have recently called for an open debate regarding the taxation and sale of marijuana, does this mean you will support the bill currently moving through your state legislature that would legalize and tax your number 1 cash crop?
P.S.- You are my hero.
It looks obvious that California is going to have to deal with some major budget cuts. Many of these cuts hurt everyone, like Education, Fire, and Police.
Have you thought of asking the voters what to cut? (yes/no)
If you haven't, would you seriously consider this? Why/why not?
Do you feel that this law should be overturned/ammended? Why or why not?
How do you think the Legalisation of Marijuana will progress? Do you really think that sending people to jail for smoking something like Cannabis is a bit ridiculous? It costs your government ridiculous sums of money.
