Suicide attempts in Seattle:
Overdose: 12%
Hanging: 6%
Walking to the corner store: 82% - Jagula, on 10/12/2007, -3/+34Great to see my work reaching Digg.
- Cenobite, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27Reminds me of building huge mountain-top cities in Sim City 4.
- doublsh0t, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28awesome. i demand a widescreen background of this!!
- devindotcom, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27This is not photoshopped. It's actually like that.
- DiggsOnlyNeoCon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+25Right about now, I'm picturing a terrible Family Guy cutscene.
- Jwoey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20they probably drove over from the other side.. you know the side that isnt a cliff.
- glomgold, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15i think some handrails would be in order.
- Billiam627, on 10/12/2007, -5/+17Thats the best use of photoshop I've seen since my high school principal's head got pasted on Jessica Alba's body.
- swingsetacid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14or, are you kinda like the guy at the bar who tries to pick up ladies with the pickup line "i don't use pickup lines"?
- SaxxonPike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10That is an awesome advertisement.
- jd72277, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11This is Photoshop? I just thought the west coast was like that.
- dafragsta, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12Peter: Wow, you're really hot.
High School Principal: You wanna hit it right?
Peter: Young principal, the subject
Of schoolboy fantasy
She wants him so badly
High School Principal: Ugh! Don't stand so close to me. - chrisxkelley, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Wow- check out all of their other photos. There's some amazing work there!
- sagat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Reminds me of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland: http://www.thisfabtrek.com/journey/europe/ireland/dublin/cliffs-moher-4.jpg
- Petrarch1603, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13am i the only one who thought that this is chicago, not seattle?
- enigmattic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6@acex23
I'm seeing the Columbia Center, so it is Seattle. - Varjak, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6There is no Shell Beach!
- Alkal1ne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Hmm... My house is gone now... I guess I am in hell. >:)
- ratbear, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Finally we can end the viaduct debate!
- Oatmeal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yeah, it's Seattle. The space needle is actually not directly downtown, it's just north of it so you can't see it in this photo. The best way to identify seattle is the two towers on the southern end - the columbia tower and the key tower. The key tower has a green roof and the columbia tower is all black.
- kavuday, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7@acex23 and everyone else who doesn't see the space needle...
That's because the picture was taken FROM the Space Needle. I know, take your time, soak it in.... - MISDoctor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5If beyond the cliff is hell, then it is confirmed: Starbucks is indeed the work of the devil.
- Makubex, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Silent Hill, anyone?
- soupnrc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's definitely Seattle.
- escheppa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Here is the Chicago version ;) Since many of you thought that this was Chicago. http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=480274111&size=o
- tdogg241, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@kavuday:
No it's not. This is what downtown looks like from the Space Needle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Seattle01.jpg - Elfman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Dugg for living up here.
Now if this damn rain would just go away! - rhesuspieces00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1thats pretty 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 sweet.
- rdecast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i noticed that. i figured that they would've done it from the water side, but whatever...
- nemoder, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Drive over Snoqualmie Pass with some low passing clouds and you'd really believe it!
- tdogg241, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Except "God" left Capitol Hill alone, which is a clear endorsement of homosexuality, so this must be the work of the devil.
- PleaseJustDie, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Most of us have lost faith in the general digger community long long ago.
Still though the only spot I can see you could be talking about is by the park, but they could have just driven across the park to get there. - yvovandoorn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Actually I was wrong as well. Off by an intersection.....
Here is Google Earth of Seattle: http://www.disgruntled-dutch.com/media/misc/seattle-googlemaps.png
and here it is zoomed out: http://www.disgruntled-dutch.com/media/misc/seattle-googlemapszoomedout.png
Notice how the Space Needle is to the left it all, technically it fell off the face of the world :-).
Using the park (with all the trees) as point of reference. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Sweet..but it would suck to be a window washer on those buildings next to the edge
- geekxlove, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow, the building i work in is RIGHT on the very edge... creepy.
- kavuday, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@tdogg241
Yeah, I realized pretty quick that the shot was little too high to be from the needle. Darn close though. - lebe0024, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6That's Seattle? I don't see the space needle, and that black building in the back looks like Sears Tower. But I don't live in either city so I don't know.
- escheppa, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1nvm
- luken7, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Looks like the Christian Right's view of the world. The will just reinforce their point that the world is flat and ends somewhere
- fuzzybad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Downtown Chicago is way bigger than that. Although the dark building(s) in back does look somewhat like the Sears.
- tdogg241, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1It's the Columbia Center, and it's all one building.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbia_Center - MKinMotion, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4I think the photo is from the space needle.
- PUBAND, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Actually, that's what was left after the mother ship came over and took a soil sample. Unfortunately, the smallest shovel that they had was half the size of Seattle. Oh well. Put on your tinfoil hats.
- MikeOSX, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1At first glance, it appears to be Chicago. But, that is not the Sears Tower, it is two or three buildings that just happen to be positioned perfectly to create the illusion of the Sears Tower.
- monkeyboy8686, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2SimCity 2000 4EVER! :)
- yvovandoorn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Its seattle, they barely cut off the Space Needle. See that construction zone on the left (towards the bottom middle). Thats where Fisher Plaza was constructed in the late 90s (this image is quite old). The Space Needle is across the street from Fisher Plaza, thus cut out of the picture.
- Decibel9M3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I questioned it at first too, but it's Seattle.
http://www.people.ex.ac.uk/eckeedwe/SeattleSkyline1.JPG - wang1011, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3i dont know about that
- notfred, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Wow! American attitudes to the rest of the world - in one simple-to-understand picture!
