- MLyzz, on 10/14/2007, -3/+406read the scrolling text "I cannot not teach you anything....."
- zweben, on 10/12/2007, -4/+378As a web designer myself, let me just say thank you. Thank you for rasing my self confidence by posting this.
Now I know that even if I get hit by a truck, lose both my hands, and the visual cortex of my brain, I can move the mouse with my face and get a job as a web design teacher at St. Cloud State University. - otheruser, on 10/12/2007, -13/+259best. website. ever.
- whymanwhy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+196Wow ITT tech grads really stepped up the quality of their work.
- doctorcaligari, on 10/12/2007, -0/+166All the teachers I work with call Firefox "Foxfire"...after the billionth time, I just stopped correcting them and took up drinking.
- rholloway, on 10/28/2007, -1/+150The only thing missing was, "this is my website".
- neoknight, on 10/12/2007, -1/+147Miss Dolphin!!!! You are the NO.1!
I've been inspired. - EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+105Hey, somebody has to teach people how to design MySpace pages.
- omnithought, on 10/14/2007, -0/+103I love the dolphin jumping into his ear. That's class.
- FartyMcPooPants, on 10/12/2007, -0/+97Reminds me of a lecturer I had once.
He was so obsessed with reading his own overhead slides (No powerpoint for this IT professor) that quite literally you could start juggling in the theatre without him noticing.
Oh we also danced the Can Can, and did a mexican wave, yet still he kept on talking, and talking, and reading his own slides, never looked up once.
Now that was a lecturer who would be happy with a statement like 'I cannot not teach you anything'
Luckily the rest of the teaching staff were a lot more competent. - mfearby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+84No, the only other thing missing is a pointless intro page saying "Click here to go to my web site".
- Solardog, on 10/28/2007, -2/+84I made a more cohesive website when I was 12 with absolutely no training at all. Wow.
- DoctaStooge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+79"I am a teacher covered under the "fair use law""
Why would you need to put this down? - robustyoungsoul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+71Needs more blink tags.
- igjoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+63My web design teacher told us to open up "foxfire" today and all I wanted to do was cry. Not to mention the graphics on her website looks like my 3rd grade trapper keeper... I feel MYlzz's pain.

- VANOS, on 10/12/2007, -2/+53Have we all forgotten about the CYBER D-SIGN CLAN?
http://www.kwota.net/cdc/default.htm
SERIOUSLY!? You forgot about that? They are PROFESSIONAL web designers, not some silly professor. Word. - anonyjames, on 10/12/2007, -0/+50I had this teacher the first semester he was at St. Cloud State. Here's a few things he did:
One day he was lecturing about people being disrespectful (I believe it was after someone corrected him on the fact that VLAN's don't sort traffic by TCP Port, but everything he taught was wrong so it may have been something else). Then he told a story from his past teaching job (at I believe an all-black college, where he couldn't declare racism) about some student that wrote a terrible teacher review, then afterwards, would say hi to him in the hallway like nothing happened. Then a student in my class asked "but aren't those anonymous?" He replied angrily "well, you can tell by the handwriting". Then, he continued to go on about how some day we'll be applying for grad school, or applying for a job, or running for president. And they might not talk to him, but, teachers talk to each other, and you won't get away with that.
The lesson is, if you write about his poor performance on the anonymous teacher review, he'll try to sabotage your life.
Worst teacher ever. And the head of the Stats department (Computer Networking and Applications was in the Stats department) had no balls and buckled under his threats of racism lawsuits, and did nothing.
After one of the students got kicked out of the class (which was completely against SCSU policy, as he didn't meet any of the requirements before a student can get kicked out), we passed around a petition that said the student didn't break any of the policies, and it was unlawful to kick him out. All but 2 students signed it. They still didn't let him back in. When we did our anonymous reviews, a number of students were worried that he'd sabotage their careers if they wrote a negative review, so we passed around a supplementary review, with a lot of yes no or multiple choice questions about the unethical things he's done in class, as well as the constant factual errors in his teacher. They still did nothing. - cbreaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+49@foxfire comments:
At least they didn't have you open the "Internet" by clicking the big E on the desktop. - prockcore, on 10/12/2007, -0/+47I'm sorry, I can't hear you, I have a dolphin in my ear.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+46He linked to this:

Worst. Website. Ever. - aikahanyou, on 10/28/2007, -0/+40Wow. That's awful beyond words.
My first site ever at eleven was better than that *****. How does this guy get a job teaching web design? I mean, (a) who the hell gave him his doctorate? and (b) who the hell hired him to teach that class?
EDIT: Oh, wow... most of his links aren't even to HTML documents. I'm crying inside. - TheDonNMikeShow, on 10/14/2007, -0/+40SCREW YOU ALL, I LOVES ME A ROLLIN' AROUND PANDA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- goldfenix, on 10/28/2007, -2/+38Sadly, this is still better than many MySpace pages. At least here the text is still readable.
- mikedpirone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35I like how his "My Faith" links to a .mht file.
- milkfat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+34@MattVort
Yeah, right... that page isn't nearly as bad as this one:

- cbergeron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31Is that dolphin cleaning out his ear?
- mdeimel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31This is so sad.... I actually graduated from this school (CSAB Accredited believe-it-or-not), and it just goes to show that everything I learned I had to teach myself.
(CSAB is the Computer Science Accreditation Board) - outhouseinput, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30Uh...did anyone else notice that this guy has a TON of published work and he is a graduate of MIT for like 4 degrees? Look at his resume!
