- Thorpe, on 11/08/2009, -10/+457It's ***** horrendous. Especially when you are on quite a high resolution. It just shows a lot more of it.
- mark076h, on 11/09/2009, -13/+12dugg for horrendous
- kashem, on 11/09/2009, -40/+2Why do you have your browser maximized on a hi res monitor FFS? I thought only dolts with little tech background only did this. There's just little point in having the browser wider than what the sites content is able to display.
- Thorpe, on 11/09/2009, -0/+29There are benefits to this - my add-ons on Firefox can be launched and overlayed without covering the main content and my bookmarks toolbar can have a lot more bookmarks without me having to click an arrow to launch more of the websites I use daily.
Seems like you need to explore more because some sites work great when they have their content expand to suit the resolution you are on. - MWeather, on 11/09/2009, -1/+27You can zoom web pages, you know. Thought only dolts with little tech background didn't know that.
- inactive, on 11/09/2009, -9/+2Zing !
- bjornski, on 11/09/2009, -0/+15I sit about 5 feet from my monitor, I have my browser maximized and zoomed in so my bad eyes can read it.
But I guess only dolts do stuff like that. - ProtocolDroid, on 11/09/2009, -0/+19Are you saving the extra pixels for later?

- dn11, on 11/09/2009, -2/+68...Sup dawg. I heard you like dragons. So we decided to embed a dragon age ad in your dragon age ad below another dragon age ad....
- ProtocolDroid, on 11/09/2009, -0/+9All of that space gone to waste :(

- brad3378, on 11/09/2009, -2/+19I tried viewing that webpage on a dual monitor setup with my browser widened across both displays.

- kanojo1969, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2It's just another step down the trail to whoredom that the site seems committed to. I guess when I look back over the years, it was always obvious that they would do absolutely anything for money, but the depths they have sunk to are pretty embarassing.
What I don't understand is why Digg seems to have so much trouble turning a profit when sites with far, far smaller traffic seem to do OK.
I've always assumed that all the little experiments they do are funded by Digg and none of them has ever earned a single cent. The only money Digg has ever really had is from investor funding. I wonder at what point the people who own Digg's debts will wake up and say 'Look, you guys just have no idea how to run a company'? Because I think that's all it is.
I don't have the inclination to get into the details, but if you check out Digg's staff list, it seems pretty obvious that they are massively over-staffed for this one site. I guess they have their fingers in other pies but if they end up dragging this site under the waves too, it will be a shame.

What is Digg?
