How many times have I wished I took the shot instead of hesitating for IFF or a cleaner first shot?
“A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be.”
I tend not to move towards the sounds of firefights but rather to anticipate where it will go down and get into position to flank the combatants in the firefight that hasn't happened yet.
This reminds me of how similar the fundamentals of stabilizing rifles and cameras can be. If only they had that newfangled image stabilization for rifles.- bofhcabbit, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2This hadn't even occured to me until you pointed it out.
I assumed there were dozens of other things these quotes could be used for, but combat didn't jump out at me for some reason. Now that you've pointed it out though, I really like the idea.
Particularly considering how violent hockey can get :P
